In as much as majority of these government owned hospitals don't give a proper pay to there staffs, I don't support the idea of health workers using their phones when they ought to be taking care of patients. I guess before every health worker is offered a job, there is always an agreement in place where the worker must assure the management of quality and maximum service at all times. So, when a worker is doing something outside what he/she has assure the management of, then it's unhealthy for the hospital in general, as the patients might end up on the receiving end.

But, I won't take the government out of it, because they have fault to some extent. You see, when people who are supposed to receive certain payments like (hazard allowance) ends up receiving penny, then what do we expect them to do when a speculative financial opportunity like P2E goes rampant in the country. Nigeria's taking things to another level no be today wey em start. It's a pity seeing people misplaced their priority over a something that doesn't or that can not cost someone life, wasting their time doing nonsense while patient dying slowly in pains, and I will also suggest that the hospital should implement the New rules of not operating their phones at working hours except for break period. I mean, during lunch people (staff) may fall back to their phones and this rules shouldn't include the landline or telephone for urgency and emergency purpose only.
