I totally agree. It's not about the amount but about the consistency that someone is able to control the urge to gamble. If a gambler is good to go with smaller amount and able to control it, that's normal because there's nothing to be wary with a dollar. But you'll see how the mood changes when bigger amounts are involved.

Playing gambling consistently is not a good practice no matter how little your stakes are. Instead of using a dollar to gamble every day, it will be better to gamble with $7 on weekly basis or $30 on monthly basis, it will make you not to be addicted to gambling because if you lose a bet for the week, it will take you another 7 days to stake another bet which means that those days that you won't be gambling can be used to attend to other things and it will make your mind not to be occupied with gambling activities. Whatever strategy that will lead to gambling every day is not good because there is no way you won't fall for addiction when you are always gambling every day. Then we have two main versions here.

1) gamble daily with $1 just for fun and dont expect much of it. Any game would do, any tactics would do;
2) save money to make a large gambling budget to have longer sessions to catch random and test luck.

Both versions are good, as it matter what a person wants from gambling. I have though about that question and I think I would go with $1 per day. I think it on one hand be like an addiction, as it means daily gambling. But on the other hand not a dangerous gambling, as losing $1 per day wont affect gamblers IRL budget at all.

I agree that saving or investing is always better than gambling but if you just consider gambling as a place to have fun after work then you won't feel like it's a waste.
Gambling would be considered a waste if you spend money that you cannot afford to lose and only want to get rich from it. But if you spend money for entertainment then it is a different story because when playing any game you have to spend money. We watch movies, drink beer...does it cost money? But why do we never complain about it? Spend money on gambling the same way you spend money on other games, you will find that it is not a waste.

What you say is real, we can't get bored but it's a Thousand times better to get bored than to rise through a path full of adrenaline and without money , maybe 1 dollar can be that the fun only lasts less than 3 seconds, but You're Betting , at some point you will have the luck to multiply , with 1 dollar I would bet it even on a Shot of a slot or a Hand of poker if possible , but I don't Regret it because that's like buying a raffle ticket or something like that , Only it gives an Immediate result , then boredom and those extra years are normal.
