I've been been using Bitcoin for more than 2 years and all I can say is that I love it, it changed my life for better and I don't want to got back from where I started. All good but there is an issue. Our beloved Bitcoin developers, Gavin and team, have seem to forgot where they started from and as of this day are making judgments that are way over their head regarding Bitcoin reference client, and refuse to adapt or implement features that they deem politically incorrect.

First time I heard wasn't an issue, I thought they're probably right and carried on with my life. But this is starting to repeat over and over again and the features or code patches people submit are refused or left rot for months, only because they are too powerful and people could harm themselves. Sounds familiar? I bet it does, and this is the way Bitcoin's main developers act today under Gavin's supervision. They don't respect their fellow programmers that work on to improve the Satoshi's wallet and protocol, and effectively consolidate they power over the network by being sure nobody has any substantial contribution to the code.

Read more on the issue, Gavin and a few other developers have indulged us with some comments. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=160785

If you think you can do better then make an alternative currency and show us, this is what open source is about.

Getting the popular vote, and having everyone update to certain specs with many users un-informed, beats having a better alternative without the popular vote.

Aren't these mostly client fixes he's requesting?

If they don't affect the blockchain, who gives a rat-turd if someone else puts out another client? Let the market decide which one is better.
