Hello
I have some problems with the Bitminter client. I'm running it under SMOS Linux (for Litecoin mining) with the Bitminter Client (modified for Butterflylabs ASICs). Java is already installed.
If I start the Bitminter client, it displays the GPUs, but not the ASIC. The Bitminter Client says, it's not able to probe the port, the port is in use. There are instructions for Ubuntu, but not for Debian (SMOS is based on Debian, isn't it?).
I tried using google, but i didn't find something usefull, might I looked for the wrong keyword? Ideas? Cheesy

I'm using this version of the Bitminter Client, under Windows, it is working: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=31163.msg877772#msg877772

Thank you^^

First guess is that you need the FTDI serial driver to enable comms with the BFLs. So I'd find a debian package with that in it.

Anytime the bitminter client isnt picking up BFL miner, I usually just restart until it does. But as for reading it at all, the first time is installing the serial port driver to make it recognized. Just like the person above me said.

I tried installing this driver http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm (link is from Butterflylabs website)
But how can I do this? There is no Readme file or any other instructions on the FTDI Webpage, a couldn't find any (for me) usefull help with google, either.
Can anybody help me?
