Subject: Help Identifying Lost BTC from MyBitcoin.com (2010–2011 Poker/Arcade Game)
Hi all,
I’m hoping someone here might be able to help or point me in the right direction.
Around 2010 or 2011, I signed up to an online arcade or poker machine-style game that used Bitcoin. I had never used Bitcoin before and only spent around $1 to buy 100 BTC to play the game. I believe I ended up with around 30 BTC remaining.
The game was short-lived and disappeared quite quickly. I also remember using a web wallet at MyBitcoin.com, which rings a strong bell. I wasn’t really familiar with how wallets worked at the time, and when the site disappeared, I assumed I’d just lost my $1.
Now that I’ve come to understand the value of Bitcoin, I’ve tried to retrace my steps. I still remember the email address I used and what was likely my password at the time.
Does anyone remember:
A Bitcoin-based game or slot machine arcade site linked to or relying on MyBitcoin.com?
How the MyBitcoin refund process worked, or if there’s any way of verifying balances now?
Any way of contacting former admins or community members who handled the receivership?
I’ve checked my email archives but found nothing solid yet. I’m happy to provide more detail privately if anyone has advice or can verify old user data.
Thanks in advance for any help, David (Australia)
