Israel kills 73 in Gaza as UK, EU slam ‘unimaginable’ suffering [12/8/25]

Israeli forces have killed at least 73 Palestinians in Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to medics, as two more people, including a six-year-old child, died from Israel-induced starvation in the coastal enclave.

Those killed on Tuesday included 19 aid seekers, as the European Union and 26 countries, including Canada, France and the United Kingdom, condemned the “unimaginable levels” of suffering in Gaza and called for urgent action to halt and reverse the unfolding famine in the war-torn territory.

Survivors of the latest attacks on aid seekers, which took place near the Zikim crossing in northern Gaza, described horrific scenes.

“There was gunfire all around; we didn’t know what was happening. People were dying in front of us, bullets flying between our legs, and we couldn’t do anything,” said a man who gave his name as Sayyid.

“We got here to get a bite to eat, but we can barely make it. We’re exhausted, we’re dying… a piece of bread can now cost your life.”

Another survivor, Mohammed Abu Nahl, described crawling on his stomach, “with bullets flying all around”, as the wounded and dead lay all around him.

“The dead were lying beneath us, and we were pulling them out,” he said. “I came here just to feed my children. I have no money to buy food. If I had food and water, I wouldn’t come here. What should I do? Steal? Loot?

“We call on all countries to stand with us, to stop the war, and to end our suffering.”

Humanity as a whole is not winning right now. These are the patterns of history, I think the world is waking up but it may get worse before it gets better.


Basic human dignity is under valued.

I wish I felt more hopeful for seeing a better world in my lifetime, all we can do is stand up for each other; right now.

Over the last ~2 years the world has been asleep.

I have 2 points of disbelief/astonishment:

1. I cant believe that the world to date has failed to act against Israel both in arms supply
and in curbing the "preferential" trade Israel enjoys with the EU. A recent report
stated that 80% of Israeli's want the "war" to stop.

2. At a time when the eyes of the world are drawn to the upcoming Trump/Putin
love up Israel has pushed forward to try obliterate Gaza City. The cynicism is
unbelievable

All these Western regimes are arming the child killer regime and even have boots on the ground in Gaza participating in the ongoing genocide. Meanwhile their spokesmen are condemning it at the same time!!!

They don't want the genocide to stop though.

You see, the head of the Zionist regime is pushing for a complete occupation of Gaza. Which means he is going to continue to evoke more of the Zionist occupiers/colonizers' leaves (everyone in Israel is a military personnel) and put a weapon in their hands and push them into Gaza. A place where the Zionists go to commit genocide and sooner or later be neutralized at the strong hands of The Resistance in Gaza.

That's what they're disagreeing with not the end of the genocide. They all still want to kill all Palestinians alive.

The sheer audacity of them to believe they can do what they want and the slow killing
of the population of Gaza, aid workers and journalists.

I mean... If there is any message which is being sent off from Gaza to the rest of the world, is that some human lives are more important than others, which is just sickening, honestly...
This is one of those wars/conflicts which does nothing but to erode your sensitivity and make you lose part of your faith in humanity.
Don't you wonder why we are being constantly bombarded with images of war and suffering from the front? The people who waggers war for money and power want us to get as desensitized to this kind of atrocity as soon as possible, to accept it as a new "normal", so they can continue to get whatever they want and have their way through the suffering of others.
The best thing we can do is financially support those who take food to the needy and hungry and recognize all this as a purposeful strategy, not accepting it as a new "normal".

Their are countless stories in GAZA that tells how humanity is humiliated by Israel and these stories are available on everyone mobile. But still the humiliation is going on for almost two years and Israel has no fear or shame.

France has announced that it will accept Palestine in September while UK has announced conditional recognition of Palestine state. These are just symbolic announcements and that's why we haven't seen any decrease in Israel's atrocities in GAZA and West Bank. Moreover Israel is also planning to execute E1 plan which means construction of 3400 illegal houses in West Bank that will altogether eliminate the concept of Palestine state. Countries like UK and France have the power to stop these illegal actions of Israel but they are preferring just verbal condemnation.   

Israel is not only doing genocide in GAZA but it's settlers along with full support of Army is also killing Palestinians and forcefully occupying their lands in West Bank and irony is that these actions are getting attention.   

Not only EU but countries of Middle east like KSA, Jordan, Egypt, UAE are also equally involved in this genocide. Their rulers don't even have the courage to speak against this genocide or break ties with Israel. Egypt has it's border with GAZA but since start of this genocide Egypt has tightly blocked that border just like Israel has done on other sides of GAZA.

Israel bombed the sole Christian church in Gaza, which was the only Christian church in Gaza and had been there for hundreds of years. Israel said they are sorry, but at no point since the bombing have they offered the slightest suggestion there will ever be any compensation offered to the victims, or any repairs offered to the church. Is someone actually sorry if they say they are sorry but have no intention of any kind to offer zero restitution of any kind for their damages, nor even commit to change their behavior in the future.
