Craig Wright claims that he bought them from Mt Gox
No, he claimed to have bought them from a long defunct russian exchange.  Of course, the supposed seller say it was nonsense and the "invoice" wright produced was obviously fake, including having mistaken some russian section heading of their website as their logo.  In any case, Wright withdrew that lawsuit after we obliterated his evidence, was forced to pay our legal expenses, and the the UK courts went on to certify his lawsuit as totally without merit.  He's just a scumbag scammer, one of many in a scumbag laden ecosystem.

MTGox was hacked many, many times, by multiple unrelated parties.  These were funds pulled out in one of the hacks.

You want some real intrigue go look at who was laundering money for some of the mtgox hackers and how.

Yeah, CW is a big liar who doesn't deserve any attention. I found it crazy too that people send BTC to this address, just why? But we must be grateful. As satoshi said: "Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.". Anyway only around 1 Bitcoin was sent to this address in 11 years, so it's not a big deal Cheesy.
1 BTC is a big deal just like you said, lost coin only make other's coins more worthy and think of it as burning now this 1 BTC has been burned. CW is a shit peron, even charged by the court, still he don't stop insulting himself again and again and he is just like the tail of a dog which never straightnes haha.

cchadwicka and Mrbitcoin1997 you bumped a very old thread although it is a interesting one still got one page though. It needs more discussion but CW at that time was not charged until now. CW was a piece of shit that time and still he is.

He's the craziest man in history of Bitcoin and he will be remembered as Convicted for repeatedly lying about inventing Bitcoin This crazy title will remain on his name forever.

Crazy that he can convince people regarding on his false claim and its good that authorities certifies his lies and expose him globally. Maybe he think before that to obtain easy richest he could just claim that he is Satoshi and after that he can gather everything that he want.

Got curious about what you have said about who was laundering money on mtgox hackers and this is the result I got https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndca/pr/russian-national-and-bitcoin-exchange-charged-21-count-indictment-operating-alleged This is much interesting and good to read especially those people interested about what happen before.
