Bhutan is doubling down its Tourism industry by partnership with Binance

At this point while India is still hell bent on squeezing out money from the middle class and preventing them from trading crypto via huge taxation, our neighboring country Bhutan is doing something else.

They are partnering with Binance Pay to allow crypto to be used for payments. Their first digital bank DK bank is in it, this shows how much their financial institutions are willing to accept and streamline the use of crypto.

Crypto still has a long way to go in these countries but these governments are taking the non-traditional routes to upholster the local economies which are built on tourism in Bhutan.

I have got the news yesterday and it's amazing! If you have Bitcoins which you want to spend, go ahead and visit Bhutan. It's an amazing place. I have been there during my childhood and was really amazing to see the country and its people. Now this decision by Bhutan government is actually pushing me hard from inside to visit again.

India's problem is bureaucracy. Majority of the bureaucrats are not aware of the developments happening in the tech side. They are mostly old school thinkers. Majority of the politicians are busy looting public money. So you can't expect India to ever legalize Bitcoin. They may even increase the tax in future due to the current war like situation. Very unfortunate!

When the defense equipment were being bought, opposition seemed to be very angry about wastage of money, the same people just remain silent today and try to nibble at the leftovers now when the equipment showed their prowess.

With the ceasefire now put in, I hope the country goes back to developing itself and its growth and begins to see what other neighbors are doing for years now investing in bitcoin.

These are examples of countries that are harnessing the properties of bitcoin to their advantage and India with its growing economy can also get involved in it, although this might not be a major thing to do.

I think it will be used it to bring more tourists  & for the people to use the crypto by teaming up with Binance.

If India wants they can crush the Pakistan economy without even going for a war, they are already living on the IMF aid but India is in such powerful position now can impose sanctions and every country will take the side of India for sure because no one wants to take chances with 1.4 billion people's market. So Modi Ji should also have someone in the close circle who thinks in that way beyond the religious views.

India is being feared by every country because of its population who can actually spend money so it makes sense for the government to take care of their most powerful weapon the people by giving ample resources in terms of finance then it goes back again to the government in the name of tax so it's just mutual growth that can make the country unstoppable.

Bhutan is small nation so there's no comparison but our government can take the idea and implement it here too which can fetch us far better results.

Well I am quite impressed with Bhutan because of it's encouragement to use bitcoin for payments and it's overall crypto operations.
It has been mining since a long time and now this. India should learn from Bhutan but it has been not been focusing so much on bitcoin's positive impacts on the economy.
It has only been taxing crypto users, filling the pockets of corrupt politicians but I believe that it will change some day.

So this is not going to happen anytime soon as long the local governments run like they are running.

If the US administration can do something good with crypto, India will follow suit, having the pressure to compete with US becoming a economic superpower in the recent days.

That is true. At present, we do not se many highly qualified politicians in the government and that is an important factor while making important decisions.
Unfortunately many political leaders still lack the technical expertise needed to navigate make informed and impactful decisions.
But that is what I hope changes some day and we see politicians who are more tech savvy and support emerging technologies.
May be that is when we will see India turning into a crypto friendly country.

Actually Modi is quite aggressive about tech and has been pushing everything to digital since he came in which has been good, point is that the people of India are also in that 8th fail class, which is why they adopted the tech but have been using it wrongly in many part of the country. Technical literacy is also important but will happen eventually.

I bet the people of Bhutan already know and have started investing crypto seeing what their country's government is doing already. We can only wait when such days will begin here and Modi or his followers if re-elected would continue this technical revolution.
