I think you have to be a bit misguided to consider gambling like investing. I mean, they have their similarities but only because both things are done with money. Gambling is paying for entertainment while investing is owning a business. Gambling is meant to enrich the casino and investments are meant to enrich investors. If you’re in it for the money, the choice should be obvious.
Gambling is not an investment I concede to that. Even if some people takes gambling more earnestly than entertainment it doesn’t make it an investment. Another things I concede to is that gambling in an investment opportunity for those creating gambling site or running a casino game. You can gambling with discipline and take every game earnestly but you will fail to make it an investment.
No type of bet falls under the category of investment. In the case of sports betting, those who are very good at sports and who enjoy playing constantly can make very good predictions about which team will win, but that does not mean that they will guarantee every match that which team will win, so since nothing can be guaranteed here, there will be a lot of chances of losing money here. And where there is a possibility of losing money, it can never be an investment. Investment is where there will be losses, but some percentage of investment is not where you have to bet money and if you lose there, you will lose all your money. Gambling and investment are never the same.
Indeed, still no guarantee that they'll be able to predict the winning team, though they've got good experienced and good knowledge about the game, there are still factors that may affect and lead them losing the game, maybe there are gamblers who really good in doing their predictions and knows how to balance their actions, but not that many still not an investment which will give you decent benefits but a risk that may lead you to lose everything you got.
