If you're  given 500m naira to fix one thing in your locality, what would you choose? Road, Water , Electricity and digital skills  for youths.
 This topic is necessary to test run our brain, on how to develop our community if we have the opportunity to serve, or if NGO assign a grant for us to fix the most necessary  things in your locality, what would you choose to do first out of the four listed above. The people we have in government today has not plan or project in mind, that  is why they are not performing as we expected. The  money is there but they seems not to understand the most important need of the people. So as youth lets engage on this topic and see what you really need in your community.  please choose only one and tell us why is most important in your community.

If am given 500m, i will use it to electrify my community, my community has no electricity, we have good roads and good drinking water. what is lacking is electricity and if i can fix that, it will attract investors to my community, it will help medium scale businesses, and in return it will reduce the crime rate. Everyone in the community will be engaging in one business to the other.

This is an easy one for me due to where I came from. We have good roads, steady and uninterrupted power supply, good borehole water but our people still need jobs and so human capital development will be my focus. Training our youths on digital skills will be my project. When our youths have these skills automatically they will become self-employed and start making money for themselves and this will bring more development to the community because it means that more youths will build houses and establish more businesses and this would attract people from different communities to come and reside in my community since everything that makes life good is available.

you talk well, but as you talk, weytin anoda community get another one no get, and weytin dey you important no go dey another person important. Na why i talk as make you look your community well, and take one project wey they reall need. I no say de four na essential things we all community supposed get, but na bad government dey cause all these debate.

So no pick two, just one we your community need most, you pick road and electricity, you don fail the test be that, just take one wey you fix do with 500m. As for me road dey my community na electricity i choose, wey if i install my community go happy die.

For me I'll go for the digital skills, reasons being that a lot of youths are just there roaming the village without prior knowledge of what digital skills is all about, and I Strongly believe that getting them equipped with this skills, material and equipment used for various skills can help so many of them achieve their dreams.

I come from a place where we have good roads, water and electricity 24/7 so they don't need all that.

since my locality only needs to be connected to the national grid and then they can get access to a moderate electricity, i will take a portion of the money first of all to sort out the electricity need of my community, after doing that, i can then intentionally select some youths across different sections of my locality that are interested in learning craft, pay for their complete intention under a firm and upon completion of the internship, i can them work with them to start up the thing they have learnt such that they become self-employed and in the long run, they can become employers of labor.

An alternative option will be to set up a standard skill acquisition institute across different part of my locality that can be well equipped to handle all forms of practical skilled courses that will help the youth become skilled individual. if that is being sorted out, it will go a long way to make my environment an highly congested unemployed zone.

Well if I have the opportunity to fix one of the above mentioned in my community,  I will go electricity,  because we have good road and water already, but the electricity is not very good. Although digital skill for the youth would also be nice, but I choose electricity because it's brings a lot of opportunity for the people. It will definitely help small businesses to strive, because with electricity people can venture into different kind of business and it will also attract investors and also attract people from other communities which will definitely lead to development of my community.

Well if I have the opportunity to fix one of the above mentioned in my community,  I will go electricity,  because we have good road and water already, but the electricity is not very good. You made a right choice mate, even God created light before other things, when you have steady light, you are sure of attracting investors to the area. Other things on the list will follow once the electricity is fix in any community, just like my community, we have good roads and water, is just electricity wahala.

Just like Nigeria, our electricity is in a mess and that is why we are backward in  development and job creation. No investor will strive in a country where there is no  constant electricity. If we have the opportunity to decide ths faith this country we should consider electricity first.
