Nah, the novelty remains there because that's what gambling is, you'll get tired, you'll lose and win some of it. But having a lot of money it's not everyone's situation, and I think that we can call it an advantage for a gambler who's in that situation. Someone can say that it's not actually losing the novelty, but it's an upper hand because of that guy's riches.  Don't say that there is no consequences because even if a guy has a lot of money, they'll still feel the pain of losing huge amounts of money and much worse the emotional effect of being a loser.

even for those who have a lot of money many won't gambling and not 100% of the gamblers will stick
I think it's normal that people have varied interests and over time they could end up doing different things, experimenting
some will want to stick to gambling and do it over a long time but this is probably not the main rule

my first reaction is the opposite, I think they'll accelerate people and make them more anxious and unable to stop and say "that's enough"

It actually depends on the main purpose of gambling or betting, as entertainment or to seek big profits.
Most of the time, if it is just an entertainment, it will not be a burden and provide a commensurate entertainment.

The calming effect I mean when someone starts winning and keeps winning in the early rounds, it will make them achieve their goal in gambling,
but when a defeat happens it will be a failure that everyone will respond to negatively or will just go and play again with a little money for entertainment.

Indeed, in the end it will only have an impact on one's mentality, not enough to calm down when the defeat is greater.

If I were rich I would not go to the casino alone. I'll always go with friends to gamble that is the fun of it. And that's what most rich people do, gambling is not about their profit they will make from winning. It is about connection. And they, they don't spend their time on one activity alone due to boredom. Once they become bored, they go do something else.

Being rich doesn't mean you have unlimited funds, there's no way a Rich gambler would say that there's nothing challenging they can put their money on lol. There's always the option to gamble with others that are rich or even the poly market. I dont really believe into the word about having that extremely rich or having that unlimited fund. Lets say that you are rich but doesnt mean that spending on gambling couldnt be that giving that impact into you or same as you say that you arent that feeling up the thrill because you can afford on what you have lost or simply having that small consequences. Actually this would be that situational because if you've been that dealing up with gambling with having that moderation then it doesnt matter whether you are an average or rich person then you wont be finding yourself having no problem when it comes on what you have spend or what you have lost. The key on here is that you can easily move on or move forward specially into those people who are rich which they are financially capable enough. The other situation on here is that basing into those rich people who had no control about their finances on which if they have decided to splurge that huge amount of money without having the control, it might take some time though but you would defnitely be ending up on sleeping on the streets.

Unlimited funds doesnt exist or on which no matter how much money you do have but still it wont be giving out guarantees that you can exclude yourself into such potential issue on sleeping out into the streets.
We've seen different scenarios or conditions on which these people do end up on getting poor just because they had been that highly been devastated because of gambling and later on they've been ending up on having those loses and thought that gambling couldnt be giving any bad impact into them since they are already that rich. Just like been said that there's no such thing about unlimited fund on this world and with gambling then this is also the easiest way on burning up your money and if you dont have any care about on how much you do gonna spend, then sooner or later on which you do make surely having that impact on which it will be leading out on that regret in the end.

While that it is true that most of the rich gamblers are doing it for them to gain connections. But we can't also deny that many of them are doing it for actual profit and winning.
And that boredom that they're experiencing is due to their stress managing their business and that's why even if it just looks having fun to them. They're making a serious move for every time that they gamble.
So, if they're socializing through the physical casinos, that's a way for them to meet new people and some of those people might encourage them to get more serious and just gamble continuously without having to worry of losing.
And this is the actual novelty in this action, getting to meet new people and having a different and new experience together with them or maybe just alone.

If I were rich, the truth is I wouldn't bet much, not because I don't want to, but because I wouldn't have time. For me, being rich implies that I have to work more, in investments, in business, and the least I would think about would be going to the casino. I would go, but for a short time or to socialize, But the truth is, life changes if you are rich, You have interests that consume your time Although I would take some time to play a little, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money. Depends on the amount you gamble and the reason you gamble.

If you are extremely rich you can still gamble all your money away, being rich is not going to prevent that. But if you gamble with relatively small amounts of money for the sake of entertainment then you should be safe.

I am not rich but I bet tiny amounts of money for fun. And I follow a loss/profit limit plan as well as other gambling limits. I have not lost money that I would cry over.

But you need to have a lot of self discipline to carry out such a plan.

There’s still risks but not as much. These rich gamblers don’t have unlimited funds but they will surely not bet all their money into just one bet. Even when they are betting ridiculous amounts of money, they still have a lot more money in the form of assets and properties or businesses and whatever. They have a lot of places to get money from aside from the already cash.

Depends on the amount you gamble and the reason you gamble.

If you go out really crazy you can gamble all your money away, but under normal conditions this wouldn't happen. Anyway the effect is very different between rich and poor people. If a rich people gambles away all their liquid money, they can recover fairly easily unless they have massive debt. A poor person on the other hand may not have enough money to buy food. So I would say the difference does stand.

There's a tiny percentage of people who can answer this question realistically and they've probably got much more interesting things to do than hang around at this forum. Based on pure hearsay and very few examples, I believe that there are the super rich who still get a thrill from gambling - while the average person might gamble a few dollars or even hundreds, these people will be dropping thousands at a time without giving it a second thought. The wisest ones will only be doing occasional sessions as an alternative form of entertainment, but the silliest ones will have a lot of money and little sense of self control when it comes to gambling, able to pour it hundreds of thousands on a single gaming session but waking up and not really feeling any damage to their bank account unless they do many of these sessions.

If I were a billionaire I would still gamble for fun and be responsible for my gambling, even if I were very rich there would still be a risk of becoming poor even though the possibility is small due to wild gambling, why do you think about that?
