I’ve been working on a small but fun open-source project called ETH Shot, a jackpot game that runs entirely on Ethereum testnets. It’s designed to be simple, fair, and a great sandbox for experimenting with blockchain gaming.

How it works:
Each “shot” costs 0.0005 test ETH. You have a 1% chance to win the entire pot. If you win, you instantly get 90% of the pot. The other 10% supports the platform. There’s a 1-hour cooldown between shots per wallet.

Why it’s interesting:
It’s fully transparent—everything runs on verifiable smart contracts. It’s open source and lightweight—under 80 lines of Solidity with a Svelte frontend. It’s live and interactive, with real-time pot updates, leaderboards, referral bonuses, sponsor rounds, and fun animations.

Why it matters:
It’s an easy and low-cost way for people to explore blockchain gaming. Good for testing UX flows, smart contract randomness, and gas efficiency. No gatekeepers—anyone can review or contribute to the code.

How to try it:
Get test ETH from a Sepolia or Goerli faucet. Visit ethshot.io and connect your wallet. Take your shot, check the leaderboard, and share feedback or open GitHub issues.

I’d love to hear from the community: Should the 1% win rate change based on pot size or activity? How’s the onboarding flow and UI? Any security or randomness improvements you’d suggest?

Let’s make this a fun place to learn, test, and maybe even win some testnet bragging rights.
