I’ve noticed many newbies in Nigeria are losing money through P2P trades, especially on Telegram and WhatsApp groups. Some scammers pretend to be buyers or sellers, and once you send them your Bitcoin or naira, they disappear.

Yeah I have heard several cases regarding this telegram P2P scam where someone will just appear to your dm and start asking you for P2P trading, isn't that obvious that the person is a scammer? But it surprises me when I see or hear that people are still falling for this type of scam how can someone just pm you or someone who you barely know asking you to trade with him and you accepted? Even most of this  illiterate can even be smart enough to know that such person is fake but It surprises me when I see those who are proclaiming to be well educated falling for this type of Scam.

what are the best ways to avoid getting scammed in P2P trading here in Nigeria?

Firstly before engaging yourself into P2P you need to make sure that you learn how P2P trade works before attempting to do it, and don't release coin until payment is been made else you will get scammed. And always make sure that you also confirmed payment that's if the amount that is sent to you is that same amount that you agreed with the vendor this is just the little information I have for you regarding this P2P trading.
