I see it's worst than communism.
In communism, people get paid accordingly based on their job and position, it's make sense because different job/position has different workload and pressure.
If a president and a janitor receive the same salary, people won't just lost motivation to work, they also lost motivation to life. What's the point to try something when in the end they all are same.
It certainly looks worse. If one person works more and another works less and receives the same salary, then there's no equality, creating such equality is impossible. Or just imagine all football players earning the same salary. How absurd it would be. These dreams of equality are merely wishful thinking, devoid of any reality or logic.

An egalitarian society is a situation in which everyone is considered equal in both economic, financial and social status.its a concept that emphasizes the importance of social equality, aiming at removing economic inequalities.its indeed a classless society where there is no rich,semi-rich or poor. If I have $1,000 for instance every other persons will have same.everbody is equal financial stable.nobody is richer to another. Do you think such society is attainable before the end of the current generations as proposed by great economist.
A farmer is not going to accept the same pay for doing a higher amount of hard work than some dishwasher in a restuarant. A doctor who studied medicine for a decade and gathered experience for another decade is not going to be seen as equal to some scrub that cleans the toilets. What kind of boring world would that be? There would be no point or motivation for trying to become a better, more awesome person. But what we do need is a system that distributes money to people more fairly based on their skills, knowledge and hard work, rather than the corrupt, unfair system that what we have now. Passed down wealth is an abomination.

No, because each individual is unique, what means they have their own set of characteristics, which result on their personality. Some people are more hardworking, smarter, efficient than others. Some people have personal objectives related to professional career, while others just want to have fun. All those factors influence on the differences between people in life, so it's not possible to artifically impose everyone to be in an equal status.
That is bullshit, demagogy and unfeasible. People who propagate such ideas are the ones at the top of the pyramid, so it's actually contradicting they talk about equity without giving the example themselves.
For real, equity works as a mean to drain motivation and strength from people who want to work and thrive in life, as it favours the ones who don't.

This is never possible, if any country or any society does this, their economy will decrease a lot. For example, many people earn money in many ways. For example, someone earns $1000 per month by doing business, while many people earn $200 per month by doing jobs. As you said, this can create bad thoughts among everyone. For example, when the income of a farmer and a business is the same, then any farmer will never work in the field, and many kinds of difficulties may arise. Then the economy of the country or society will decrease a lot.

You could argue that the US has already built the 'egalitarian' society you're writing about. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but if unemployment benefits are around $1,000, then there's the equality you're describing in plain sight. And what's the result? Well, around 18% of the US population is now functionally illiterate because there's no incentive to learn anything or look for a job if everyone is just given $1,000

An egalitarian society can't be achieved. Communism is a good example of what you say, my parents grew up in communism. Almost everyone says that communism was bad because if you lived in a village, they would force you to work like a slave, while people living in cities had a better quality of life. I also know that everyone was stealing from the factory during communism, since everything was the government's property. I also know that there was a huge amount of corruption. You had to know someone to buy a TV or a car. If you had someone in the government, you wouldn't be equal to others. As I've heard, it was a very corrupt governance with a very bad quality of life in terms that you had all the money but couldn't buy anything.

Canada, Australia, most European and also some Asian countries (e.g. Mongolia, Nepal, also China in some aspects) have already achieved a quite "egalitarian" state. It is not a state where everybody owns the same (which is impossible imo, for all the reasons mentioned in this thread) but where there are no drastic differences between social classes and even the lowest classes benefit from a relatively good standard of living without really existential threats.
The flipside is that this was achieved with a high degree of taxing, but as there is social acceptance for this level of taxing in these societies, it's a futile exercise to criticize that. South America is the polar opposite, with extremely high Gini coefficients, and also the US rank quite high.
I believe Bitcoin can alleviate a bit of the inequality once it becomes more stable and widely used, if it really manages to cut the "inflation tax" and the cantillon effect (the effect that poorer people generally suffer inflation and monetary expansion most). It's only a bit, really, but without having to reccur to any taxation (unless you consider transaction fees a "tax", but there's Lightning).

It is like an impossible fantasy. Trying to introduce a communist society is ridiculous. Some strategies can be applied against the conventional financial system to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor, but it is difficult to apply and implement them in the context of most countries because the capitalist system is closely intertwined with the financial system of each country.
The biggest obstacle to establishing a society based on equality is the wealthy community of society who are the holders of the state structure and on whom the economy is run. Important decisions in politics, economics, education come from those communities.

With the greed and competition that has already been a norm in the society, I don’t think an egalitarian society will still be achieved. However, if the current government will seriously mandate it and assure that all citizens should abide with it, then maybe this will be somehow a game changer. But nevertheless it should start with those corrupt government officials as they are the role models and disregard their selfish intentions by using their own positions in the government.

There's an egalitarian society in this world... North Korea, but there's a problem. The dictator and the governing class(the military and the members of the Korean labor party) are privileged, which means that the North Korean society isn't truly egalitarian. A totally egalitarian society cannot be achieved in real life, because the mediocre and lazy people cannot have the same income and wealth as the competent and hard working people. Maybe in the distant future, the world will be governed by super-AI and all the people would get a Universal Basic Income, while all the work will be done by AI robots. This would be the closest thing to an egalitarian society.

There is no real-life country, even the most free, democratic, and egalitarian in the world, in which all citizens are treated equally in terms of economic, financial, and social status!
Yes, it is the state's duty to provide its citizens with the minimum of their basic human rights, but it is not the state's duty to provide everyone with equal access to money. This is unfair to hardworking people who work day and night to improve their lives, while rewarding the lazy who prefer easy money.

I don't think it is achievable. Everyone cannot be rich even if everyone is given the same amount of money. Becoming rich goes far beyond the amount of money you have or the amount of money you have been given; it requires a lot of financial discipline and financial intelligence to pilot yourself from a place of lack to a place of wealth. Another reason why an egalitarian society will be hard to achieve is because our thinking faculties are different. Some persons are actually really dumb and foolish, and that's okay because if everyone is wise and sensible, how do we really know who the wise and sensible are? Wisdom will be nothing special. If everyone is also equal, there will be no balance in society because who is going to do the menial jobs that are still very important?

egalitarian is like something of the past now because the possession of power cannot allow it to be effective because the rich would always want to be treated better that others who are not like them, although even if some countries tried to maintain some basic part of this egalitarian to some extents some persons would always compromises by making others look very small against them. The world would have actually been more of a better place if egalitarian rule becomes our way of life because a lot of things most countries are facing would have actually minimize because all the government that do not regard there citizens would have stopped and lived in harmony and love. egalitarian doesn't really mean the example you gave of everybody having the same amount of money because there are people who always have more than others because of there businesses but however the right that person would have will exactly be the same with the rest.

Few years back too much exist in theories and films which encourage peoples for having ideal and dreamland but sadly no one able to have this in real world because its never been possible due to humans nature and their personal ego's. In future this world also possible but in AI because with this technology anyone can create his own dream world where nothing wrong will be happened and all will be live happily due to recent issues and conflicts things are going worst in many countries and stats fail to provide any necessities of their citizens which is big dilemma but its bitter truth because now it's not easy to have equality in society due to many things which are existed around us for decades, and we are having habit of staying in this circle.
