That browser is likely chrome or Firefox browser, they are not safe for searching through google, you will end up with many bad links in google search, I liked what Brave browser and Microsoft edge have done, there is no room for fake links in the search engine, even if you use google search through them..

Remember that nowadays hackers are willing to spend money to make their malicious plans easier, including on Google, so don't be surprised. The ones who need to be careful are us; never click on sponsored links from Google. Besides that, I have seen many other fake sites that are affiliated with Google. So far, I don't fully understand it, but Google should have applied filtering, although not everything can be caught by that filter. I think when one site is blocked, another one will appear. Apart from reporting, I think sharing information with others to reduce victims is also quite good. Additionally, we need to be careful on all websites; some browser features help provide security. But so far, the best control lies with ourselves.

I think of it as main reason is from Google, not from Brave browser but I agree that Brave browser is not a good one to use.

Brave browser began with their slogan as a browser for privacy but after a while, they launched their BRAVE token, awarded to their browser users but if people want to claim the BRAVE token, they will need to complete KYC for token claiming. This KYC requirement from Brave browser is self-breaking their own slogan and I don't trust Brave browser for private browsing on the Internet.

Scammers are hosting sites on site.google.com and from there, they promote the website to Google ads directly sponsored. When you search for the website on google, the sponsored ads comes before the real website.

For me, I a lot find in facebook like this. If we not details and have a people do that, especially those in a hurry, won't even notice sites.google.com. They'll just see "Uniswap". This is exactly why for me to manually bookmark the official domains you use exchanges, wallets, protocols and only ever access them from your bookmarks bar.

It's very wrong to ever try to search for a website using Google. Google has proven to be a welcoming home for scammers, so we should treat them as such. They directly bring in sponsor link into the top of a search and make recommendations of such results to the person running the search.

If I don't remember to bookmark a particular website, I prefer to manually type it if I can remember the domain, or I will just go through the official social handle for that website and get the site link directly from them to avoid being pushed to the wrong one while putting my hopes on Google.

I agree that there are many malicious advertisements on the Internet as highly potential threats to our devices and accounts. Using browser extensions as content blockers for blocking such unwanted ads can help us having better privacy and also security that is very vital for our accounts as well as funds.

You are completely correct to avoid using Google to find websites because scam links placed at top of search results are huge danger especially for finance sites. Your personal security plan is best way to stay safe you either type full website address yourself or find link on company official social media page. Good recommendation, I also used Brave browser, the best solo browser I have used. I do stream football matches and I don't have any problems with the browser.

I think Google need to take some step back to check this things. I can only imagine how they are going to damage crypto if they decide to allow Google ads for cryptocurrency. They are going to be using their platform for targeted ads and it's going to be a bad reputation for crypto.

It only works when you have an ad blocker on, doesn't matter which browser you use as long as you're using Google or Bing as search engines, you'll always see the sponsored and promoted domains without a blocker. Although Brave browser has its own search engine, so sticking will still work( i don't  use brave though)

Also, there's nothing wrong with cryptocurrency ads on Google, the issue is only with fishy domains being promoted as ads.

If you don't want to see those annoying phishing domains, then use other search engines like DuckDuckGo (recommended).

That is why I always verify or double-check the links I visit, especially when I want to swap, bridge, or do anything else on a website. I sometimes also check with the relevant community to find out if there are any issues. As long as they pay, the ads can run immediately. For better. It's time for Google to be put under greater public pressure to stop accepting unverified crypto ads. This has the potential to harm many people. You are right on this, hackers will do everything possible to make sure that they get your crypto so we should be very careful on the kind of site we click, again if you are into airdrop don't use the wallet you are using for your bitcoin investment to do Airdrop because some AirDrop will ask to connect to your to your wallet and as soon as it is been connected the AirDrop organizers or managers now has access to your wallet and they can withdraw your bitcoin anytime they want, this has happened before so let's be very careful as not to fall victim if you are into AirDrop use a different wallet for your AirDrop so you won't fall into this hackers trap.

Posting those ads on most popular search engine in the world is fastest way for them to spread out those phising links they created. Also these bad actors knows that with these actions they made they can catch new people to possibly come in their created phising sites.

With these things keep existing in internet much really better for people not to research any site on google since they might spot those phising sites and not the real one. The KYC is not a necessity for ordinary users but for people who want to earn from the site. It'll be insane for a browser to start requesting for users identity when there are several options available. Reading through the link you shared I came across below comment.
