But this is a different thing from what OP is talking about. It's not about simple closure of a casino but throwing away their reputation which means that doing something crazy and that involves the funds or deposits of their users irresponsibly.

I've never been a victim of a casino vanishing with their users funds leaving the users stranded and all, but I've definitely seen a couple of times a thing like this happened, even on this forum, and one I think I can't forget in a hurry is Betnomi, though I wasn't one of the victims, I felt very bad for those who were affect by the decision the management of this casino made to vanish with both the funds belonging to their users..

I wouldnt say that such thing is driven by greed though greed is still part of it, i would say such thing is a motive the management of the casino have had and possibly concluded on even before they launched the casino, for what ever a person does in this life, he or she must have spent some time thinking deep about it, and have weighed all possible options before arriving that such conclusion to run away with users fund and as well close the casino website.

Why do gamblers play in non trusted casino, I believe if the casino registered legally and they pass thought the government they’ll be enough reason and warning indicating the casino will not function further, let’s not forget genuine casino with a good intention will give players time to withdraw their funds. A casino with good reputation will not shut down the system, well anyone can prove my point wrong by showing a good casino with better reputation shut down without a proper address to players making use of the casino, probably such casino are majority scammers.

It may not be greed that made such company to throw away their reputation but it could be that they are facing bankruptcy, because it's only bankruptcy that can make a casino fold and lockout. Well I am not certain though, it could as well be something related to greed but no one is actually sure of what makes people to behave so. I have not gone through this myself but have heard about it in many places.
