Announcing Coin Trader, an open-source, Java-based backend engine for algorithmically trading cryptocurrencies.  It integrates with existing libraries for market data and order execution, plus it provides persistence and an event-based architecture for backtesting, algorithm design, and live trading.  It is not quite ready for live trading, but with a few additional contributions we will have a robust algo trading platform.  See the github site for documentation.

Interesting open-source approach to the crypto trading infrastructure. An event-based architecture that covers both backtesting and live trading is definitely valuable for developers in this space.

I see the challenge of making such platforms more accessible to traders who aren't hardcore Java developers. The gap between a strategy idea (e.g., in Pine Script) and a working Java engine remains significant for many.

Wishing you the best of luck with the development. The open-source algo-trading ecosystem certainly needs more robust projects.
