How do you keep your Bitcoin safe as a beginner

As someone who just got into Bitcoin and is still yet to know more about Bitcoin, one thing I keep hearing especially in this platform is about security. I get that losing or misplacing your seed phrase or wallet means it's all over.

But many options are there making it really hard for us that are just starting, like the hardware wallets, mobile wallets, cold storage, multisig, it all gets really confusing fast.

For the pros and experienced investors in the house, what are your advice for keeping Bitcoin safe as a beginner?

One of the basic things you need to know to start buying Bitcoin is how to secure your wallet. Once you have the basic knowledge, you can start buying Bitcoin little by little and learn how to secure your wallet. It is very important to create and store a crypto wallet. Because as long as it is safe with the user, the money will not be available to anyone else. Mobile or desktop wallets can be easier for beginners because they are much easier to use. Hardware wallets are safer when buying large amounts of Bitcoin. Multisig can also be used. Write down the seed phrase securely and keep it private.

I personally would:
1. Get a good hardware wallet. Or at least make sure to airgap any device that you decide to use for your wallet software.
2. Don't input any wallet access information into any other device, especially not the ones you use to regularly access the internet.
3. Make sure to backup your seed in a way that only you could retrieve it, should you ever need to. Keep it away from prying eyes and minds
4. Don't access your wallet from any other devices than your airgapped device. A keyboard logger stealing your seed words seems like an
unlikely event until it happens to you...

The first important step to do is choosing and using a good Bitcoin wallet, that must be open source and non custodial. If possible, another criterion needs to be considered too, it's cold wallet that is a best and safest wallet to use because you don't expose your private keys online.

After choosing a good wallet to use, it's important to know how to use it from verification the download file, to create a wallet, make a wallet backup, use backup for recovery as your test before funding it.

In practice, keep up principles in security and privacy that can help to reduce risk of online threats and lose your money.
