The US is really angry with Nigeria due to alleged killing of Christians in the country, Nigeria is really suffering in the hands of the fulani herdsmen which are killing Christian especially in abia State, maiduguri, kaduna
This has gotten to the hearing of the US President Donald Trump which has threatened military action to promote peace and unity and stop killing of Christians.
This was Trump speech just to promote peace in the country but I think Nigerians has refused to it and has reject  proposal.
See eh, the government of our country too like to play chise play with things that are very serious that's why US come into this matter, Fulani herdsmen, Bokoharam has been terrorizing this country and there are people that created these problems, people has been accused of sponsoring those jihadist movement but you can never see our government taking serious actions or steps on how to handle things, but why is the government of this country afraid of US coming, may be they think that many things will be revealed or they may not have anything to loot again if US come to the country for this operation, when trump made that statement, out politicians and some elements that was brought by the government started misleading people on how US will take our resources, they mentioned some countries where US did same thing, then is ask, is there  no Christians genocide in Nigeria, with all the resources we have in this country, how many of us have benefited from it, so our politicians are only afraid that US will come to remove food from their mouth, is not as if they even care about whats going on.

You have made some good points,  but my problem is our government pretends like everything is okay until something touches their own interests.  Look at how long the Boko Haram and herdsmen problems have been going on without any serious attempts to resolve them.  But once the US steps into the conversation, all of a sudden, everyone is alert and saying funny things, “Oh no, they are coming to take our resources".

Let's not kid ourselves... which of those resources are the Nigerians really enjoying?  We have minerals and oil and yet there is so much poverty. So the “the US is coming to take our resources” argument simply does not hold when the wealth are not accessible to the citizens. The fact is they are not scared because of the state of the country. They are scared because a lot of buried dirty secrets will be exposed if the US comes in.  Maybe they will lose the ability to hide and to steal.  So, to sum it all up,  they are not trying to protect Nigeria. They are trying to protect their own wealth,  of which they are trying to not be too vocal about it.

My brother why does it feel sound you are the only one hearing what I have be saying, because talking about the so called mineral resources which of us has a full oil reserve and gold reserve at his home, and we are here banding about mineral resources being protected to me I feel it of no use the US should really take a position in entering into the country be all power, I think if this comes to pass most of our Nigeria government will be put to shame.

Critics argue that the U.S. focus on religious freedom is a pretext that could open the door to external control of Nigeria’s oil and mineral wealth. The counter‑argument is that the same resources haven’t translated into broad‑based prosperity for ordinary Nigerians, which fuels the suspicion

Government’s response Some say the Nigerian government only reacts when its own interests are threatened, leaving long‑standing conflicts to fester. Others note that the state does face genuine security challenges and has invited U.S. assistance, while also rejecting any notion of a “genocide” narrative as an oversimplification .
