This is the kind of country we find ourselves in, where someone will come out in broad daylight to lie to our face, not that they don't know that we know they are lying but they are aware that nothing will be done to them about it and that's the sad reality. Men like this are the reason why terrorism is thriving in the North and they are gradually and further moving beyond their territory. We have seen or heard of various attacks in other parts of the country that in some years ago were not heard of. The mercenaries that late Buhari and his cohorts hired back in 2014/15 before the general elections to distort GEJ's government if he doesn't concede defeat to him. But he was shocked that GEJ stepped down for him and there was no need for those guys and so they left them in them bush after equipping them with various manner of weapons. That's how these mercenaries are now conniving with locals with the same mentality in the North to engage in banditry with their modus operandi as kidnapping.

Sheikh Gumi who is a known advocate of these terrorists is walking freely in Nigeria and saying whatever he likes. He sympathetic to these terrorists that's why he can openly come out to say that the bandits are angry because the Federal government did not include them in the national budget that's why they are killing people, can you imagine. Firstly, what exactly are they fighting for? sheikh Gumi is likening these guys to the Niger Delta militants, at least the militants has a course for fighting which is for their resources and besides they were not killing their people and burning down churches or mosque. Their grievance was directly to the federal government who are incharge of stealing their resources. Sheikh Gumi knows who and where these terrorists are, why can't the federal government arrest and detain him? They wouldn't because he comes from a particular section of the country that's why.

But let me tell us for free that insecurity in Nigeria is not coming to an end soon because the people that were supposed to curb and fight against them are the ones sponsoring them so how does insurgency come to an end ?  Nigeria is the only country you see bandits have social media account where they asked citizens to drop their account details for giveaways after taking ransom from the president during the negotiations on releasing the abducted students from Kwara yet nothing is done to apprehend them. Nigeria needs reviving leaders that can enhance proper governance.

Unfortunately, except things excalate and it gets to the southern side of the country, the victims of these terrorism attack will still cut across the Christians, Muslims and those that are not even religion fellow to start with. To an extent, it's even better to look at what we are currently facing as more of a national security concern and not a religious battle. If you're at all close to the region that this thing is affecting seriously, you can easily tell that no one is entirely free regardless of your religion.

The bandits are more after the ransom they will receive from victims than the religion tye victim is affiliated to. Unfortunately everything has to follow due process. Just because he supports them online judging by his statement it doesn't mean he is accused of anything, at least no proof to show for anything. The legislative arm of the government cannot do anything about it.

You know, sometime ago a news came out about the illegal mining going on in some Northern states. It's no longer a news that the North has rear earth minerals like gold, lithium, copper, zink etc but unlike the crude oil in South that's for all, the rear earth gems in the North is only for few and the government receives nothing in it national treasury for these rear gems. Its reported that the illegal mining is mainly done by the Chinese.

Now here's the catch, as they are mining, if course they need to be provided with security, that's where some of the big men in the military comes in for the security and to remove eyes of Nigerians from what's happening here, these same elites that are into illegal mining sponsor some group of people to cause havoc so that the attention of people will be diverted from what's happening in those illegal sites to what's happening in the other side.

If the military is not been compromised, tell me how these terrorists are able to come to a community, spend hours and then pack humans in their number, men, women and children. How do they keep them in line and move from where they kidnap them to their sites of hiding without been intercepted? That's to show us that it's more than we are seeing. Men at the top are heavy sponsors of these groups.

About the president trying to recruit more soldiers, I just laughed when I saw the news. Is it in this time that everyone knows that the military is compromised that they will still filling forms to apply for the job. Hell no, when we now know they are playing politics with the lives of the military men in front, those that sits behind the desk. For the president to fix insecurities in the country, the military must first be fixed and that's by putting the right men in the sit of authority.

The issue of terrorism or banditry has really eating deep into our system and I don't see it ending anytime soon, because the government is politicizing it. There has been rumors that a lot of influential people are involved in the terrorism,  which I strongly believe and that it's why it's really hard to end it.
I hate to accuse people, but Gumi has not made it easy for me, because the way his public sympathy and defending of this set of terrorists is a thing of serious concern,  and I don't think it will be wrong for the authorities to call him for questioning,  but I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon, because the government is not ready to tackle this issue or they are afraid of the people involved in the terrorism.

I think until people are held accountable for their actions then Nigeria will never be a good place for anyone, and when I see this thing on social media I just laugh that what kind of country did I find myself in, this things are totally unacceptable what are your verification of this information, most of this people are the once who are sponsoring this bandit because they have chooses to be the once who speaks for them and also negotiating for them and begging on behalf of them, well if they have nothing to achieve from this point they will not be supporting them, so there is every tendency that this people are aware of what is happening and also sponsoring them massively.

It is very shameful for us to lived in a country where the principle of rule of law does not matter anymore to the government. Our constitutional rights as citizens of Nigeria is just a waste, can you just imagined how someone like Sheikh Gumi will be sympathizing this bandits/radical islamists and the government could not pick him. Those lives they forcefully unalived are they not worth living, somebody tell me where is their constitutional rights as citizens of Nigeria? Am not surprised to hear this, that this terrorist are being sponsored by top politicians. That's why is harding them to completely annihilate this people. There's serious allegation against the minister of state of defence Bello Matawalle of buying a cars for notorious Terrorists, the news was recorded by his former SA, he even accused Bello Matawalle of building house for the terrorists yet nothing has been done over it. When you appoint someone that's Linked to terrorists to head an important section of the country, how do you defeat terrorists. This government knows what they're doing,I think every president goes into agreement with bandits to appoint their sympathizer to head the military, because I don't understand how the former minister of defence Was removed because of his involvement in negotiating with bandits, now the junior minister is accused of buying cars for notorious Terrorists in the North.
