So far dollar continue to gain strength of our currency naira, price of goods and commodities will continue to be high. This is because, the exchange rate will continue to be high, importation of goods and clearance in the sea port will go and it is definitely going to affect the supply chain. All this things lies in the hands of the federal government to correct.

One thing that is causing high cost of living and weaknesses of our Nigerian currency is nothing but the federal government monitary regulation and policies, the fiscal policies made by federal government and central bank of Nigeria (CBN), is what is weakening our currency and when once the right policy is made, naira will regain strength and definitely, cost of living will become stable and balanced.

Another thing that is causing high cost of living is the removal of fuel subsidy and the activities of herds men against farmers. If fuel subsidy is returned, cost of transportation will come down and possibly, cost of living will also come down. In the same vain, if the activities of these herds men is being combated, farmers will be able to produce large quantity of farm products and enable large supply of farm produce to our markets thereby reducing high cost of food items .

The constant increase in inflation, security challenges, economic situations and unemployment rate makes the probability of the country's development uncertain, which all is caused by the wickedness of our so-called leaders who are there to enrich themselves by building a life time wealth for them and there children.

I still can not forget that in 1960 and 1970, Nigeria's GDP was $4.196 billions and $ 12.546 billions while that of Singapore was $705 million and  $ 1.921 billion, even that of China was even below ours but changed when the Democratic government took over power and destroyed the labours of our past leaders all because of greed and quest for personal wealth which will even go beyond this if the youths fails to stand up and make things right.

Nigerian is our county and we don't have to give up on it.
Whether things are bad now or things are good, we need to keep praying for our country because when it gets worse like the way it is now, we will only have ourselves to be blamed. The insecurity and increased rate of crime in the country is just making life look more difficult for the citizens.

However, if we are able to pass through this phase, I think nothing lasts for ever, times will come when we will look at the past and we'll say we've really endured bad government, it's time to enjoy peace. I am optimistic things will get better with time.

🤣🤣🤣 Nigeria is actually getting worse nothing like look like it’s getting worse or is it that we ain’t seeing how things are happening in the country. Prices of things has skyrocketed tremendously, our money has lost value, house rent has tripled, our system is terrible, corruption has become the order of the day, education has lost its pride, our hospitals are under equipped, workers are underpaid and most times owed, our military is porous and lack the needed equipments to function effectively, loss of lives and properties on a daily basis, our government doesn’t care about the masses so please without missing words i can state categorically that Nigeria is far worse than it use to be.

Gone by the days when Nigeria was one of the most growing black nation, when we invested so much in agriculture, education and security, when our economy was close to some top world countries, when our money had so much of value, today the reverse is the case, even Ghana that Nigeria once said should go is now developing faster than Nigeria, they even have constant electricity, good economy and the value of their money is growing tremendously, my friend even travelled to Benin republic of recent and he was saying their currency is higher than Naira, I felt really bad, how did we get to this deplorable state, how did we allow greed, corruption and unnecessary politics affect the trajectory of our growth as a nation, it’s regrettable that despite our good weather and natural resources Nigeria is still pitched in the scale of under development, our government has really failed us.

We can’t boast of anything as nation, we have crude oil but just imagine the high cost fuel and transportation, we have refineries that aren’t working well, not to talk of bad roads, a journey that’s supposed to take u 2hours can take u 6hours because of bad road not to talk of the stress and insecurity on the way. Look at how reduced our police men has become, they literally don’t check cars anymore, their aim is just the money they will take as bride from the drivers, wether the car has papers, or someone is kidnapped or any illegal thing is inside the car does not concern them, all they care about is the money they will extort from the driver, even our military has started taken bribes, sometimes security votes are diverted, arms money is sometimes siphoned, Nigeria is really at a terrible state, only a quick intervention by a leader that has the foresight for nation building can revive this nation, however while we wait for a change to sprout in our nation, it’s pertinent that we ensure we ourselves become change maker’s first in our little niche, change is contagious, hence let’s first make the difference at our end.

My people, I greet una. Few weeks ago when dollar was 1900, things were very expensive, now wey dollar be 1540 shey things suppose come down? Abeg anything come down for una side? Abi nothing da come down for Nigeria? This matter don tire me. Went to the market yesterday and I actually expected things to reduce due to dollar little stability, but reverse is the case. Seems this country is getting worse. How una see am?

😃 The case of Nigeria becoming worse is not a new thing to me because considering the history they told about Nigeria with regards to the early seventies you will believe that it's been long the nation Nigeria was destroyed. Do you know that there was a time that the Nigeria naira was better that the US dollar and that Nigerians travel to the UK without having anything to worry about.
Let's consider the few government that has passed and this very government of Tinubu you will see that we are heading no where. If I will tell you the truth I will say that we are even missing Buhari because there was no option of subsidy and now there is fuel subsidy without plans for owning a refinery or rehabilitating the ones we have
Boss for me I don't think it I know that Nigeria is worse by the day

You are funny and talk like say no be for naija you don dey live your life all dis years. Anything wey go up for dis country dey come down again? Make I tell you something wey I notice when dem wan hike price of something. Let’s say a pack of spaghetti dey 10K and dem wan raise am go 15K, them go first look for opportunity like dis one wey dollar dey rise or maybe like dis kind fuel subsidy stuff. They will now hike the price to like 20K them after a while they’ll now take it back to the 15K to make people feel that they’ve now reduced the price so that they won’t lambast them too much again. If something don move from its initial price for Naija, e don do be that o, you can never get it at that price ever again.
Lol, actually true though. Although its not nice, at times I feel like having a small retailing shop would be a nice business idea for the staters as a growing teen, because those people gain a lot. Sometimes I feel they even get happy when the price of goods get high just so they'll make more gain. But it isn't fair because most of them just wants to over gain not minding how we the citizens get the income to purchase their goods.

The problem we are really facing in this our country nah only God go see us through e no really Dey easy for this country, e just like say our own government just use us play politics game up and down and them only no about them porkets and their love once’s, imagine for my area how the price of thing they go higher each day, last week how bad I carry 50k enter market e come be like say I loss money on my way going home because the little I got from the market e make me come they calculate up and down for house, most time I get jealous of other countries on their progression and their economies growth.

With the increase in unemployment rate inflation is increasing, and overall, Naija economic system is deteriorating. I really don't know when we will get out of this terrible situation. I think it is very important for our government to be more aware of this issue. Other countries are moving forward economically and technologically with time, but we are lagging behind them. I think everyone needs cooperation for the development of a country, but the government of a country has the most responsibility. The government can bring about a lot of changes in a country if it wants to if it has a sincere desire. For the development of the country, corruption must first be stopped. if corruption is not stopped, the country will never develop and the economic system will never become prosperous.

Forget about dollar, any  price of goods wey go up for naija no dey come down again.see the price of garri, garri wey na we dey produce just dey rise anyhow and if you ask those market women, dem go say na dollar cause am say no be dia fault

This is what is affecting us as a people, most times we put ourselves in a tight corner and blame the government for our predicaments, you see us producing garri, pepper and local rice yet their prices is been hike, the one that baffles me is even vegetables, you can't buy buy vegetables in the market because of the price and when you see it the portion they will give you is very small for something we are planting too.

Even when dollar rate drops Nigerians don't reduce the prices of goods in the market but have got to know why they don't reduce the prices, for example if they buy goods at high amount when dollar rate is high and it falls drastically all of a sudden and they still have those stock they bought at high prices if they sell at cheaper rate they will be at lost because they bought at high prices so in other to recoup their money and interest they still sell at the same prices they bought the goods but atleast those locally grown food we produced here their prices should have dropped but they refuse to reduce it due to greed.

I can't help but laugh at what you just said, yes Nigeria is our nation and we can only hope that things get better but asking people to pray doesn't give them hope anymore cause for ad long as I can remember, we've been praying for things to get better yet it keeps getting worst and don't seem like it would get better in the next ruling circle since this present administration is still in power.

Our government needs total reformation and until we stand up to fight against this evil government in power, I don't think Nigeria would get better anytime soon. Also, enough of the being too spiritual and hoping on prayers to change Nigeria cause it doesn't help matters but gives false hope that things would change with it.

The thing is as government  kept doing their damage, we ourselves  kept damaging ourselves  in several aspects. Nigerians are so desperate  to taking  things very far, making it worsen to revive .
Fine, it's the government  who is to blame but are we checking  ourselves  because  on this price issue there seem to be no change either there's  Fall or decrease  in value of naira, the price still keeps increasing daily  and we should be aware that change price from low to high is not going to be easily reversed once everything  is settled unless there a price regulation or control by government.
God bless Nigeria

‎ The truth is that while the government has caused a lot of damage, Nigerians ourselves have also contributed to the situation in different ways. Out of desperation, many people take things too far, and this often makes the problem worse and harder to fix.
‎Yes, the government deserves much of the blame, but we also need to look inward. When it comes to prices, there has been no real adjustment. Whether the naira falls or shows signs of improvement, prices continue to rise every day. This shows that price increases have taken on a life of their own.
‎We should understand that once prices go up, they rarely come down on their own, even after economic conditions improve. Without clear government action through price regulation, monitoring, and enforcement, prices are unlikely to return to normal levels. Solving this problem therefore requires both better government policies and more responsible behavior from market participants
