this is a technical question I seek to be schooled on.
**would it be possible to hijack an alternate crypto-coin from another developer, and make a new website and everything? and actually make it good?
and release a whole new wallet client. and even change the name of the coin? could all that be done realistically? but keep the TRC... but call it trollcoin?
so here is my plan. I want to wait until TRC is flatlining. and basically abandoned. and I want to infiltrate their ship, and make that asian guy on terracoin.org walk the plank. the pirates are taking over. if you're with me say ARGGGH!
I'm sick of the 1991 infomercial style of that coin. its just such a waste of energy. so I'm going dredd pirate roberts on that badboy. if its possible. Is it possible?
my thoughts after much reading on the matter of TRC's vulnerability to 51% attacks is this.
let's implement PPC retargetting on TRC and release a new client and pretend that Terracoin never existed. and from the Terracoin Ashes emerges, TROLLCOIN!!! Terracoin who now?
COIN!!!people will know we hijacked it, and turned a coin that totally sucked into a coin that totally rocked, and became the coin with personality and actually became the favorite coin.
that will be part of the fun
a shitcoin turned fun and effective. and the popularity would raise funds to provide sufficient bountys for technical innovations to go down to help TrollCoin sail in these shark infested asic waters
that and it will be very fun and more user friendly. nothing technical, leave that to the techies, just wham bam later ma'am. Troll coin.
I like PPC, but the only thing that doesn't line up with me is that PPC has no market cap, so there are so many coins its hard to really invest in them because their value is hard to sustain, just like zimbabwe dollars.
afew things about TRC are attractive, it is rare and its value is fairly easy to sustain. assuming the freaking coin works. so we are putting heads together to figure out the 51% problem set.
I am a visionary by trade, but I am not the most technical person, so I don't fully understand the algorhythms and such behind everything. just the basics.
and so when people say asics will ruin everything for sha256ers I sort of believe them. but I also know that where there is a will there is a way. and I think TRC just cost me my entire savings because its stuck in transit will be for 40 hours I come to find out. still 0 of 6 confirmations. and its value is on its way to 0 from being the SUCK coin.
and so I take this as a sign from the universe to DO SOMETHING. start thinking outside the box. all these coins are great and all, but to be understandable by the general public- that would be ideal for a coin. just a wham bam later ma'am coin. with a little meme here and there, it would represent the sense of humor of the entire internets.
I bought trollcoin.org and I am ready to build a totally baddassss site for it. does anybody have any thoughts, or are sha256 alternate coins inherintly doomed??
any thoughts on whether any of this is possible? I like the idea of hacking a coin and making it our own, and actually making it functional and wildly successful. mostly I just see that all my money is gone unless I do something like this. and fire the developers that can't bother to fix spelling mistakes, have a weak ass 1991 infomercial website.
so the trolls are coming to take over management, old management walks the plank. offering a coin like that to unsuspecting people through exchanges is really inconsiderate. if they weren't so god awful slow and annoying I wouldn't be so offended,but they're services have been the ultimate suck on my time and energy, and I'm sure many others. so i expect it to completely collapse, and when it rises it will be trollcoin. maybe zombie trollcoin. but I just bought trollcoin.org and we're starting to design it now. should be up very shortly. thank you for any help. I am working out a scheme for anyone that helps make this coin work well, any donations to trollcoin will be distributed accordingly.
