next time you buy something online, ask to pay in bitcoins.   if enough people requested a bitcoin option from online retailers, it will start to catch on.

Only works if people promise to purchase in bitcoin and refuse to purchase in USD/EUR/whatever.
Who would be willing to do this? What would they get out of it?

If anyone has actually done this, please post in the thread. Also, if you could explain why you did this, that would be nice too.

I've overheard people in my office talking about Bitcoins at least 3 times now.  Word is out there - but a lot of that word is about how insecure wallets, trading sites, etc can be...
