It is my understanding that NSA employees are prohibited from even reading about such things.  I am not sure if that is supposed to hold true for their off the clock time or not.

Ex military officials would go in their tomb with secrets they swear to never revealed for example. So I can understand why the NSA community would truly hate Snowden. But how do you know if who you serve is still doing everything for the greater good? How does he define "greater good?"
