Yes... there is close to 85-90% support for them among the Black Africans, and that make up for the loss of support among the other groups (only around 4% of the whites and 10% of the Asians and Coloureds support them).

The only question right now is whether they will be able to achieve a 2/3rd majority.

OK... so here are the latest results:

Quote
With 31% of votes counted, the ANC had 58.7% of the vote followed by the Democratic Alliance on 27.7%. The ANC is widely expected to return to power although analysts say anything less than 60% of the vote for the party will be seen as a major upset. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party was in third place with 4.2%.

White voters voice unease over ANC

Quote
Holding his green identity book tight in his hand, Adriaan Courdier stands in line to cast the first vote of his life. He is one of a minority of poor whites using Wednesday's election to voice their unease with today's South Africa. The 23-year-old aluminium factory worker is voting with the "born frees", a generation of South Africans born after the end of apartheid in 1994. "My family all agree, for 20 years already nothing has happened," said Courdier, a resident of Danville, a destitute suburb of Pretoria. "Some of my family are homeless, they don't have jobs, they are living on the street," said Courdier.

The Whites should have been smart and partitioned the country, with population transfers, rather than going for apartheid.  They could have taken the western half and let the blacks have the eastern half.  Western South Africa would be a first-world nation while Eastern South Africa would be a basket case, despite having better land.

Instead they are in a huge mess now, with a flag that depicts rape.  The colors black, green, and yellow represent the blacks, and the colors blue, red, and white represent the whites.  Notice how they are colors representing blacks are thrusting into the colors representing whites.

Well... more than half of the whites supported to end the apartheid. So can't blame anyone here. Partition would have been problematic. At the time of free elections, there were no provinces with majority white population.

I'm talking about the 1950s or 1960s.  Instead of establishing apartheid they could have partitioned the country.

Well... in 1960, whites were close to 19.3% of the population, which declined gradually after that. They were 18.71% in Cape, 6.34% in Natal, 27.38% in Transvaal, and 5.16% in OFS.

They tried to reduce the black population by giving "freedom" to the Bantustans. But that idea never worked out well, as 80% of the black population remained outside the Bantustans. South Africa never conducted any mass-transfer of population, as the industries and farms depended heavily on the cheap black labor. So the RSA remained as a black-majority nation.

That was their mistake.  Middle-class whites should have forced the rich give up their access to cheap labor.  Actually this is what middle-class people should do everywhere.  The problem with rich people is that they love having poor people around to mow their lawns, raise their kids, and construct their houses.  Then the poor people make life hell for the middle class.

No, it is that they have the ability to do the things you have suggested.
