I have these 4 cards (7970 / 6950 / 5970 / AND 5870) on the Crosshair IV Extreme with this PSU:

No you will want at least 1200W, or 1500 to play it safe.

That should be fine. I run five 5870s on a OCZ 1250W without any issues, 1300W is plenty for your setup.

I can't believe more of you don't have issues with fried components. You guys just pick the cheapest PSU's with the required wattage.
The PSU is the single most important piece of HW to spend a little extra on for quality.
