Avatar uploading

I think avatar uploading should be enabled again, because then in the marketplace usually people that are trying to scam with only 1 post don't upload an avatar, while legit people usually do.

I know this may sound weird, but I find it easier to trust somebody with an avatar and 1 post then somebody without, because then they actually put some effort in creating their account.

Its disabled because there was a security issue.

It will not be enabled while we still have this forum.

Supposedly work has already begun. Not sure what evidence we have been shown, if any. Except some obscure firm no one has heard of supposedly being hired.

thank you can remove avatar, or ask some administrator to remove for you, but not put a new one. Although the forum  source code have been audited and the bug probably corrected, precaution is not too much and avatars only if/when new forum comes to live

I'm pretty sure that theymos has stated that it's not going to be re-enabled until we get the new forum software - I doubt there's be any work gone into fixing the hole.

I think only Slickage and theymos would be able to give you an actual proper estimate as to when it will come - but personally I'm thinking it'll be at least a good 9-10 months from now at least.

Theymos mentioned the software will be finished in about 1 year when asked in Feb.
