I used to have two machines mining, and they doubled as heaters during the winter, not so good now that it's summer though :/

I would be very happy to work for bitcoins, but I'm a ruby (RoR), C/C++, and Java guy.

Does anyone think there are any app developer / Php guys who work for bitcoins ?

I've used BitcoinTorrentz quite a bit to get around my college's blanket "ban" on Bittorrent no matter if I'm just downloading a Linux ISO or something, and I've also paid someone for some graphics work.  Otherwise it's mostly just been playing around with darts and BlackJack and such.

To me, the biggest reason for using bitcoin is that I'm able to buy preloaded Visa debit cards which I can use to buy services anonymously. Hopefully, the market will grow and more services will become available so I don't have to resort to the debit cards anymore.

@Ricochet: totally off-topic but why do you say dslreports.com is biased? I'm having some trouble dealing with them & their forums.

I see services selling visa giftcards so doesn't that mean it's easy to buy almost anything?

In that case why would it matter as long as a business takes credit cards...
