A Super Bowl Ad
A blimp
A sports stadium  Grin

I already invested ~$500 of my own money to get a Super Bowl banner into the stadium this past February, but it was taken by the NSA prior to entry. Oddly, I'm still waiting for just one pic of the banner that was promised by her. There was no need for her to scam me because I was on record in stating she could keep it, and even sell it for a profit. I know it was picked up at the front desk at the Waldorf Astoria because the clerk informed me of such via a phone conversation.

My next task was Mt Everest, but the climbing season is already upon us and marked by tragedy.

The only thing left is to sponsor Dank into becoming the best guitar player in the world. To date, he already has the key of off down to a science, hence there's no place for him to go but up, up, up.

I suggest for maximum exposure (not sure if pun not intended), we erect[sic paedo-entendre] Brock Pierce to the board of The Bitcoin Foundation.

Bitcointalk could sponsor Elsa Hammond. She'll be participating in The Great Pacific Race and she accepts Bitcoin donations.

Still around.

Dogecoin got amazing amount of publicity out of their sochi and later nascar sponshorship. Why we haven't done anything like that, ever? We should have much more money anyway?
If you are up for it please give an idea what we could sponsor, something that we can get max publicity. And we will take it from there.

Bitcoin was accepted as a part of project mars-one. Richard Branson said Virgin Galactic will accept bitcoin for space trip. So, what Doge achieved through sponsorship came to Bitcoin as natural. Bitcoin needs mass adoption, that wont come from a super bowl ad. It requires social media. May be this has something to do with that => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=594290.0

Maybe we can get bitcoin sponsored and put in on the side of the first Virgin Galactic shuttle. Now that would be awesome.

I dont dont like it unless there is gonna be masses of people viewing on television.  Not everyone watches space launches but everyone does watch the superbowl.  The Olympics would have been good also for sponsorship.

I think the first commercial space flight by Virgin will draw a hell of a lot of media coverage. It'll be all over the news. Advertising on the superbowl would be ridiculously expensive.

Maybe we can sponsor some sort of non profit organization?   Then our money/BTC would be going towards a good cause, and we would also get the publicity of commercials on TV and so forth...

bitcoin doesnt need sponsorship

thats like saying the dollar or the pound needs sponsorship.
The difference is, impatient fools aren't trying to use the dollar or the pound as a get rich quick scheme.

All this sponsorship buzz and similar "ZOMG WE'VE GOT TO MARKET BITCOIN!" bullshit is about greed.

You're right, Bitcoin does not need sponsorship of any kind.

What Bitcoin DOES require, however, is patience.

Maybe we can sponsor some sort of non profit organization?   Then our money/BTC would be going towards a good cause...
Not likely.

As someone who worked in the Non-prof sector for six years, I promise you that it is every bit as corrupt and despicable as any other entity dealing with large sums of American money. Those at the top pay themselves exuberant salaries, all the focus is on raking in maximum donations as possible, the hell with the "mission" - that's just another tool to get people to throw money at your organization, in the vast majority of cases.

The proliferation of "Corporate partnership" with non-profits is the big red flag...

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.

How much is a super bowl ad?

more then you can afford cryptopanda and more then what people would trust to give you.

however legitimate and well known/trusted businesses such as bitpay or overstock, could and should sponsor such events and have them 'fund managing' any crowdfunding to cover costs of such events.

i dont mean to be rude, but i never hold back my opinions. these undoxxed pseudonyms should never be crowd funding 'managers'. so if anyone is serious. take your idea's to bitpay or overstock and ask them to do it the professional way

Even if not meaning it, you are being rude. Who said I'll be holding the funds?
And why we should trust someone at all, when bitcoin allows this to be setup in a trust-less way.
I'm just trying to make something happen, it's ok if you don't want to help, but at least don't stand in the way with your rudeness.

i do want to help. and i just did. by saying no one should give funds to anonymous people. but instead contact bitpay, overstock or other reputable businesses to do the contacting with events, to get a price and to get the sponsored advert on display at the event.

as for the trustless way. who is the recipient of bitcoins to pay for all of this.... oh wait now you see that the end recipient needs to be legit and trusting....
