I just noticed this DMCA takedown notice that Blizzard sent to Google which resulted in a forum topic being delisted:
http://www.chillingeffects.org/notice.cgi?sID=1700018

Looks like Blizzard did a Google search for "diablo download" or something and blindly sent a takedown for every result. Pretty ridiculous...

That's absolutely ridiculous. Will you file a counter notification?

Wow, that is crazy indeed.

Seems they didn't block a link like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=8994.00 so I will just leave it here so Google might get it Tongue

edit: they also blocked:

Happens a lot. Usually the big companies hire another company (can't remember the name) who scrape google results, not even checking the content and then send google a DMCA with the results.

But then again Blizzard is a huge company and gives Google lots of business.

I don't think you understand what Google does as a company.

Ridiculous. I wish they actually reviewed them before they removed them, to make sure they aren't completely different.
