bas.morsink at gmail dot com is my mail. (if its against the rules to post a mail adress then iam sorry, plz remove it or give me a sign and i will remove it).

Greetings and nice to be a part of this community

Avalon batch 3 orders have closed. They were 75btc each for over 60Gh/s. http://launch.avalon-asics.com/
If this is some 3rd party selling their ordered unit, you would be basically buying a preorder. I don't think batch 2 has been shipped yet even though batch 3 was meant to be shipping from 5 days ago, so there would be no guarantees when you'd receive it. Avalon also won't alter original shipping address so you would still need to trust original buyer to send to you.

Yes, batch 1 sent and almost all received.
The only mining devices that would get delivered asap are the FPGAs and graphics cards.
If you need a new graphics card you could discount the cost of it by mining btc until its not profitable when power costs exceed return (If you were to buy one specifically for this you might break-even on  resale, maybe not).
FPGAs are more power efficient but pricier (and maybe harder to resell?).

Yes the hardware comparison is something i use, iam not a newbee to bitcoins (just to this site) but thanks for pointing it out. The only thing that is new for me are the ASIC mining rigs and i want to have some more info about those before buying more then the 3 i bought right now. i bought 3 of BFL and was wondering if someone has experience with ASIC mining rigs so far (seen a lot of stuf on youtube and so on.. but never had the change to buy one with a decent delivery time)
