Last year ,bitcoin mining trend did good to the videocard industry so that the demand on the market was increasing ,but it wasn’t the career of videocard .As the profit of virtual currency and the change of policy ,videocard goes down .
However ,the videocard selling amount on the global since 2014 is decreasing .
On the earlier bitcoin popular times ,the efficiency of videocard mining is high .But bitcoin essence decides that its amount is less and less .So videocard will be phased out .
Meanwhile ,many kinds of chips appear with high efficiency and dependability ,small volume ,low energy and low cost .So miners love them .
However ,bitcoin and other virtual currency doesn’t have substantive political guarantee .Moreover ,with less enthusiasm from people and increasing mining difficulty ,mining machines are difficult to sell .
Therefore ,videocard amount is increasing constantly .
So I believe though later the traditional busy season is coming ,videocard market will be still in doldrums .

Remaks: Due to language difference, sometimes people out of China can’t know what happened in China quickly. so we are here to make effort to change little, we will translate 3-4 bitcoin news in China to English everyday to help people out of China know what happened and what people thinks about bitcoin in China, If somewhere translate not that good, pls PM us so that we can  correct it.

What are you trying to say? That GPU's aren't as profitable just now, causing a reduced demand for GPU's worldwide? Well no duh... huge v8 engines are in lower demand because gas is expensive and they aren't as efficient as the newer smaller engines. Supply and demand isn't a constant, it changes.

This article is a year late.

And as we know gpus are still used to mine alt coins. (Some still mine scrypt)

As soon as an asic is created for an algorithm, a new one is created so gpus can mine again. Idea being that gpu mining is more decentralized.

only few percent from GPU sales used to mine coins
most of them use for gaming & overclocking
anyway, GPU still use for another algo, like X11 and X13

Videocards are mostly used in the altcoins mining, but even in those cryptos the ASICS will lead the mining in a couple of months.
