No mate. Bitcoin paid for a spade for a guy in Africa. It paid for water charities to donate water to people without it. It helped people be reached who would not have otherwise be reached easily (or cheaply).
Your real enemy here are the millions of corporations and cities (such as las vegas) who care 0% about how much power they use unless it affects their salary. The very fact that this question has been brought up to the community shows the positive power of bitcoin and its community over existing systems.
Haha imagine the CEO of some las vegas casino or shopping centers and restaurants who use excessive lights on purpose for marketing and sales tactics asking "are we causing world hunger". It would never happen!. So bitcoin is not doing too bad ey
