Hi!

I am quite new to all this and I just bought 10 gridseeds with PSUs for a real bargain.

Now if I use these seeds individually or two at a time in my PCs ports they work fine.

When I connect them to the USB hub that came with the kit, after about a minute I get:

LIBUSB_ERROR_TIMEOUT

Followed by Cgminer crashing.

If I plug only one or two into the hub it works fine, but all 10 I get the error.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

The USB hub I am using is this one here:

http://www.tmart.com/10-Port-High-Speed-USB-2-0-Hub-Powered-with-Adapter-Black_p97518.html?cc=gbp&fixed_price=hk_intl&utm_source=baseuk&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=C00094BL&utm_campaign=product&gclid=CMKy1Iaw474CFYLnwgodg0sAmg

Could it be that the hub is unable to provide enough power to the seeds? The adapter for the hub reads 12v @ 1amp so only ~12W? Should I invest in a better hub?

The power to the gridseeds is via seperate 12V power supply. USB is only for data.
Are you *sure* the hub reads "12V"? Wink USB standard is 5 Volt.

This sounds like a cgminer problem to me. Have you tried asking in their support thread? I you haven't yet, make sure you provide more info, i.e. OS etc.

I'm sure there are also threads about setting up the gridseeds.
