I deal a bit with forging. So far, I've made a few aluminium, copper, and silver rounds for friends (just little tokens).

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in custom bitcoin gold rounds? Can do almost any size that you'd want, obviously. Price can just be above spot (less than 1% over spot probably).

Just looking for interest to see if it's even worth buying the gold for now.

That's the plan. The largest thing is verifying that the gold is actual legit gold through and through (considering these aren't standard rounds).

Could you put a serial number on each coin then get a local bullion dealer/jeweller to perform an xrf test on them and provide some kind of certificate of authenticity.

That'd increase the price, but I defiantly could go about it that way. I might do that for the few couple of rounds, and operate at a loss just to verify the quality of the product. I might do that every 10 to 20 coins as a quality control. I'm mostly worried about the gold that I'd be melting down being 999, as it comes from a local pawn shop chain (not sure how well they screen the gold).

p.s at that price I would take 2 rounds if they were 1/4 or 1/2 oz rounds.

If they are serial numbered can i reserve no.1 and no. 8 please.

afaik, acid tests can only test up to a certain point. There doesn't seem to be a cheap acid test to check if it's at least .999. I really only want to sell the highest quality product; the last thing I want to do is cheat my customers out of the purity of their gold.

That's awesome that there's already interest! I'll talk to a few buddies tonight and see if they'd be interested in getting this going.

Do you have an images of your work would be interested in see what you have created..

Sadly not. I don't have any of my kit here either -- I lent it to a friend for a while, and he hasn't given it back yet.

Awesome, I'll mark you down in my list and shoot you a PM when they are done =D
