Hello i'm new here an looking forward to becoming a part of the community here. Since i'm so new i decided the best place for me to post is in the beginners section, as with all forums. I can't wait to meet my fellow bitcoin members. I'm sure some great threads will be in my future here. Now its time to put in my due diligence and read and post and read and post.

I would like to welcome you brother.

Kindly, take some of your time to read the rules and stickies and feel free to ask anything you want.

Here, we are one family, and you are one of us.

thanks for the welcome! I've been trying to go through some of the stickies. I know forums frown upon certain links and definitely on spamming but i would like to share my website with others but only in a professional manner. I don't want to break any rules or step on any toes although sometimes that can be near impossible. So for now im biding my time here and just working on becoming a member. so far i havent posted any links or advertised except for adding my site to my signature and profile. I put in a lot of work trying to create a page to help compile a large list of faucets, games, exchange, mining sites and information, wallets and at the moment i refuse to fill my site with ads everything i put on my site i put there to try to direct people to what they're looking for AD FREE.

any advice or constructive criticism is welcome

I like and respect your way of thinking.

My advice would be, get to know the people around here and vice versa.

Then, you could easily advertise.

But if you will advertise now, you will be named ripper, scammer and so on because of your rank.

Welcome.

You will be fine if you offer stuff that people cant get slammed on before you start asking for stuff.

Far too many people just turn up ask for so much stuff then get really defensive when people say no.

that is my understanding as well so i will just stick to being a member and reading and posting. as i climb the ranks here my signature will change and anyone who wishes to have a look at my site can via my signature and thats good enough for me. i just wish to be a part of the community. If my site can help then great if not then i just enjoy keeping up with whats going on with bitcoin here

welcome here my friend but I do not understand why you use "thefaucetlist" as username and "huge faucet list " as thread's subject what exactly you want to share with us ?

well i started off as just a faucet list and thats the name of my site then as i worked i began to add more and more now i have games, mining, exchange and more on the site. the reason for naming this thread was that i have listed over 80 bitcoin faucets and thought that was pretty good seeing as how most faucet lists i visited were far fewer.

Welcome.

oh i dont plan on asking for anything just want to read, learn and share. im not here to beg for traffic just offer my site/info to those who wish to see it

Faucets are generally a waste of time.

i disagree i think faucets let people who are still skeptics have a chance to get some free coin and become a part of the community before they invest into it. if it wasn't for faucets i probably wouldn't have got in to cryptocurrency at all.

but i can see where some people say that they are a waste of time because you will most definitely not get rich with faucets or even make a profit worth mentioning BUT If you want to test the waters and play some games or even get the hang of some exchange sites then faucets can provide you with some free coin to do it without any risk

so are faucets useless.... no
are they profitable.... no
do they allow new users to become a part of the community without risk YES!

Play some games are a nice idea, i've not really seen any faucets that like you play games, they are mostly just enter the captcha get a small amount of BTC. What if you had a simple game to possible win more/ or maybe lose, but you still get something..... and not a casino or a dice game site, no accounts, no chance of bettering more. Just a faucet with something fun to do on it.

I do have one site listed like that on the bitcoin faucet page on my site it is #1 at the bottom of the page and after you use the faucet you get the chance to play a game and multiply your faucet amount by up to 30x

If you want to earn go for signature advertising. You can earn 30 - 1000 times more than from faucets.

You are correct to say that faucets can help a user understand how bitcoin works and get a very little bitcoin in the process.

Financially speaking they are not a good use of time.

You say that you have made over $100 in bitcoin without investing (I assume you mean haven't purchased any bitcoin with you own fiat money). First I say good for you, I am glad you are making money. Second I ask how much time did you have to invest in faucets to get that much bitcoin (I assume that is where you earned your bitcoin from)? Could you have potentially gotten a 2nd job earning minimum wage, if so how much would you have earned if you spent the same amount of time at that 2nd job?

no the 100 bucks wasn't from bitcoin faucets lol your right that would have taken forever however it was related to faucets it is a combination of using faucets, playing games with strategy, doing some exchange and being part of the community and earning tips/donations in the combined effort my balance for btc now stands at 0.20016144 BTC or $119.01 as of this moment. time invested is probably equal to about 75 total hours (but it wasn't completely work it included a lot of reading and learning) as far as time goes then yes i could have earned far more than that at a real job even at minimum wage the time ive spent on faucets probably is still under 20 totaled hours but the places they have led me and the sites they have allowed me to enjoy are where faucets really help. i can honestly say that i would have never invested in bitcoin as a newbie it still seems a risky and unstable at the moment to any newbie. bit i am proof that faucets work and you can turn a miniscule amount into something larger.

I just think faucets are a decent stepping stone to help get newbies interested in bitcoin and if you can find a large list of them in one place it helps immensely. i had to scavenge search engines when i started lol  but hey to each their own good luck and godspeed to all bitcoiners
