I completed a bitcoin offer, and it gave me a download (text file) with a bunch of pages of random letters and numbers.

Can anyone tell me what this is? And what I can do with it?

Elaborate?

I'll do my best.

It is a file entitled Your_BTCs, it it many pages long, but is comprised of a massive string of random letters and numbers.

probably a list of private keys to be imported into a wallet.

just sounds a little strange way to do it.

if you see these waffles of data in pairs such as these

5K1KJWpK4cB46gUmigYCMASoWVfzie8S5UVjLnBhniwLahRkzRF
16S5n5wUM32rEPgQAu9VQFN5aZHHcKsq8q

then the one beginning with the number 1 is a public key and the other is the private

If someone sends you a private key, it is no longer private. If you put money into that address, the person who sent it to you can take it out.

Be aware sending someone a private key is the same as sending Bitcoins. So, don't.

Read this:

Why not just ask the person who sent it to you what it is?  Why ask us?

make a wallet at blockchain.info/wallet

click import/export

import the private keys (the ones without the 1 at the start)

then realise that the original website(where you won the keys from) also has those keys so now you have to move the funds into a fresh address.

if you have a proper wallet program then send the funds to an address where only you have the keys for it.

It was from a website.

As others mentioned, if the private keys were generated by someone else, they have the option of keeping a copy and retaining the ability to access them.

I hope you didn't give anyone money for these.

Still around.

Oh.  It sounds like they are trying to rob you tbh.  If someone or a website owes you bitcoins there is no need for them to send you any files, they can just send you the bitcoins.

Sounds like you didn't get bitcoin, you got a bitcoin wallet. If you punch in the string of letters starting with the "1" into blockchain.info, it will tell you if there are actually any bitcoin in the wallet. Keep the other series of letters private. That's what you use to spend the bitcoin with.

Looks like you've got a lot to study up on, but it's fun. Welcome!
