These are called Vanity addresses
You can create your own vanity address with a tool created by Samr7 here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

Also, for future reference, this isn't an off-topic post, you could have posted in beginners and help or meta and would have gotten a quick (maybe more detailed) response

Generating such an address takes a lot of time though (depending on how many characters you want).

Understand that if you use vanitgen to create your *fancy* address you will need to "import the private key".

As an example:
Code:
> vanitygen 1b
Difficulty: 1353
Pattern: 1b
Address: 1bq2zANuJp6AAo6NNeZkiLZ34vhAzsJ7Z
Privkey: 5JacUd1EmswqgxAVbQJLhiDMckhWqL6XVm7WycHDAPWmz9gfU1f

The Privkey value (for the address that you generate) would need to be imported into your wallet in order for you to *own* that address.

Also note that if the "fancy" prefix you want is large then it can take *a very long time* for vanitygen to find a match (so unless you have a very powerful computer I wouldn't advise trying to exact match much more that 5-6 characters).

My 1ciyam vanity address took 4 days to generate (on a fairly old laptop).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

Generating such an address takes a lot of time though (depending on how many characters you want).

Standard stock GPU / CPU can do 500-1000 keys/s, this is enough to generate a 5char vanity within 30 minutes...6 characters could take 5 - 20 hours, 7 expect days

Probably in the realm of ten to twelve, case-insensitive and not specifically at the beginning of the address.

How would you make certain characters in the vanity ?
So like
1ahdjeMshdjsOajdjdaRajdjsEdhsIA

The characters being M, O, R, E, I and A

Is that what you're talking about?

No he means like

1s9kMoreIAls7dn3...
or 1MOreIa9akdjwefu7676fs...

If you want 1MOREIA.... or 1Moreia... it will take a lot more crunching.  Each letter is exponentially more work.  Asking to be case sensitive is like asking for another letter.

It is easy to use but requires some hashing power.

It would easier to put up a bounty and list acceptable optionals and bounty reward.  Let other people do the work and pay them in crypto!

This has already been posted. I mean, they even linked to guides and such. No reason for you to post repetitive information.

OP, you should lock this thread to prevent any more spam posting:

Click on any of your posts in this thread.

Click on "Addition Options" right under the entry text.

Click the box next to "Lock this topic".

Click "Save"

Edit: I just found a new way as well.

You can also scroll to the very bottom of the page and click "lock topic" (it should be a link right next to move this topic).
