I think the value of alt coins may continue to go up and down, providing the possibility of making a profit on them, but I don't think they will ever even come close to becoming main stream. Bitcoin has a huge advantage there, being that it is already accepted in so many places and widely known. It has more momentum, so in the long run I think bitcoin will be quite valuable and alt coins will remain low value, speculative commodities. But I don't think any will ever reach the level of Bitcoin.

The recent time, bitcoin was regained some of its former value while nearly all other altcoins have been dumped. Will it progress this way and eventually take out all altcoins? LTC is dumping and can probably go down to the level of nmc and ppc. Have most people figured out that altcoins are mostly pump and dump?

I would definitely not put LTC in the pump and dump category.   Obviously it isn't anywhere near the adoption of BTC, but it is now supported on most major exchanges, and has a growing community.   Yes prices have sagged over the short term, but so have most of the other coins (besides BTC).   There has been a slight turnaround in the last day or so, but nothing major...

Sometimes, if it looks too bullish, it's actually bearish

Don't be so sure...

If more things like these appears and Bitcoin becomes mainstream, altcoins still have a chance.

Most alt coins have crashed badly in the last 1-2 weeks. Hard to see them come back at this stage.
