How to encrypt a private key with pgp offline?

which is the most trusted source for pgp . Do i need to download and install a pgp software for this?

Is it possible to use a passphrase to pgp encrypt a private key?

Kleopatra is a user friendly front end for PGP. There are both Windows and Linux versions.

Not sure about using it offline though. I'm not sure if it needs to be connected for initial setup, ie generating keys.

Why do you want to use asymmetric encryption offline? Why not just use strong symmetric encryption?

I just assumed you had an XY problem, but since you are getting more cryptic I will continue my assumptions and assume you are fine with the answer you got.

No bro, I actually dont know what is symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
