How to boost activity

Hello,

would like to ask how to boost activity?

I make a post but my activity is stuck at 84

I stay a lot time online but I see that others members have like on example 95 post and 95 activity.

No the maximum you can get is 14 per week and only have to post 1 post I think.

No.  Activity is capped at 14 every two weeks.  If you make a billion posts in two weeks your activity will only increase 14.

Read in the Meta Subforum, it's a sticky.  Basically it's 14 max per 2 week period, except for some exceptions as the poster above alluded to.

You only have 10 activity.  You have to wait for another week or two.

It's to prevent spamming. 

And no way to really boost as so many said.  If it could be boosted it would not mean much.

The basic answer is to post and wait.  There are half a dozen threads on this over in the META section.  THIS is one of the better ones.

As it has been mentioned by others you will need to wait 2 weeks and post during that time.  I'm not sure if you need to post more then once or not but I'm like 98% sure you only have to post one time within a 2 week period for the activity points to go up 14 points.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong so I don't confuse anyone, thanks.

Before you crate topic with a question , put that question in the search field and look if someone allready asked that question. I know that it's hard to find stuff when you are new, but there are like 20 topics + with the same question inside: Activity. You have your answers now, i hope you learned a lesson. I think it updates weekly once you get past a certain point. I remember this frustrated me for a while, too, but keep posting and your activity will catch up. (It does max out at 14 points every week.)

It updates every 30 minutes, and it maxes out at an additional 14 every 2 weeks.

nope, you will get 14 activity every two weeks with minimum post are 14 posts
no matter how many post you made, it's always maximum 14 activity increased every two weeks

I think this system was also to dissuade multiple accounts, and forced people to go and purchase other accounts that had activity already put into them.

But yeah it is 14 activity/2 week max, even if you only post once or twice on the forum during that time.

And it is somewhat common to see bought accounts spreading fud, but there will always be that.

Which leads me to a question that's been nagging away at me, why do people not like people having 2+ accounts? It's not like I want to have 2, but if they're not crossed over with anything, what is the deal? And how could we spot them?

Please don't hijack the thread with that question, I only want a short answer.

Since you will get 14 points every 2 weeks, you can post 7 times a day in one week. Staying online does not contribute to your activity points.

if you post twice you get 2 activity

it's just that if you made at least 1 post you're considered active
and you can carry over the remaining 13 unused activity to the next 2 week period

so to gain those extra 13 activity you would need to make 27 posts instead of 14

Exactly.
So if you haven't made any post in the period, you "lose" 14 activity.
But if you have made just a post in the period, you still keep the ability to "claim" that 14 activity.
