The most telling thing about this video is the sound of people, who are watching the fall of the plane, celebrating, clapping hands. They make a short remark if the pilot parachuted out, and speculate if the plane will fall on Russian territory. There are voices of several women. One of them saying how pretty it burns. Smiley

To sum it up, people are not happy with Ukrainian air force. Not happy at all.

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Ukrainian defence minister said that this transport aircraft was probably shot down by SAM fired from Russian territory because it was flying at altitude of 6500m, which is out of reach for shoulder-launched missiles that rebels are known to have.

^^ Buk system?  Shocked

Well then... assuming that it didn't come from across the border, this is pretty humiliating show for Kiev. They have very poor record of their own weapons being captured by rebels.

Thanks for the info and pics, crypto. There's no way that Kiev wasn't aware of the loss of this important unit. Which means that their defence minister is openly lying (not that I'm surprised but still...)
