throws cigarette butts from the balcony above onto the ground....

this piece of shit degenerate animal lives in the apartment above me.... he throws his cigarettes down below onto the common area.
seriously... what kind of scum bag does that.

I smoke as well; However I throw my cigarettes in the bin.

The body corp has sent this animal a letter telling him to stop, but alas he still does it.

I also asked the scumbag to stop... he tells me... guess what he tells me... he tells me he doesn't smoke.
The funny part is he has asked to borrow my lighter a number of times, and smoked infront of me.

I own my apartment, so I pay $$$$$$ body corp fee's every 3 months.. I'm going to refuse to pay until this scum bag is either kicked out or stopped, not fussed which.

Now each time I find a cigarette on the ground I throw it back up on his balcony. I've also marked a few, so if I see them on the ground... BAM!!!!
We have evidence its him (i've seen him actually do it anyways.... but now their will be indisputable evidence.

And yeah some might say its not a big deal, but like I said I own my apartment, and he rents and I don't want this animal turning the place into a shit hole. If anyone is going to turn it into a shit hole, it will be me!

And to top if off... their is an auction today... not my apartment obviously, but another in the building... So out of courtesy to the other owners I have had to pick his cigarettes off the ground (and throw them back up lol) so a potential buyer doesn't see what a shit hole this animal is turning it into.

It is a piss take, we have a neighbour who for some reason regularly tries to send his dogs down to take shits in the shared garden we have ( We live in terraced houses ) it's just people being assholes because they can, the moment someone will stand up to them they'll probably stop doing it.

It is going to get funny though cause when I spoke to him his fat bitch GF got all defensive and said he doesn't smoke... as did he... So it looks like she is not aware that he smokes... oh but she will be

The body corp people will be pretty angry after I make my second complaint.

it just sucks because I have lived here 4-5 years and at first it was scumbag neighbors who would have parties every night of the week until 5am... or play PS3/XBOX on FULL sound, again till 5am... I don't mind what people do as long as they shut the fuck up by 12-1am.
But anyways eventually all those scumbags moved out and now my neighbors are all older couples in their early 30's so its nice and quiet.

A couple of days ago there was a thread about someone whose tenants didn't pay their rent and he was now in trouble because he couldn't pay his mortgage. Now we have a tenant who refuses to pay his rent. I love when live goes full circle

I will/do pay my mortgage. That is between me and the bank I pay it every month.. and have no issues paying... I live in the apartment myself, so not relying on anyone paying me rent.

The body corp fee; however is $500 every 3 months.. and that money is for them to deal with issues like this and to do general repairs to the exterior building and that sort of shit. Each owners own their apartment (inside the building) and body corp is responsible for the entire building.. if that makes sense.  

All the owners have to pay it the body corp fees.
People who are renting do not have to pay.

So its not really relevant at all to some one not paying rent..

Plus Their are heaps of different body corp companies so it is in their interest to keep the owners happy, or we just get rid of that company and use another.

Those kind of crazy rules and land ownership laws are exactly why I think I'm willing to save up so I can get even a ruin of a detached house, I don't really want to have to deal with all that bullshit.

Yeah it really is bullshit. Apparently if the windows are flush with the wall you own them, but if they stick out a cm or two, then they are body corp responsibility.
Same with the balcony.. I own the balcony but the body corp owns the color.

The committee that is made up of 3 owners who are voted in..They basically decide what will be done and inform body corp.
They wanted to get everyone to replace the old windows to new aluminum ones. it was gonna cost each apartment owner $7-8k. i spent months fighting them on that. the windows are old and need to be replaced but fuck spending 7k now.. there are more important things that need to be done.

Luckily one of the committee members is selling their apartment so I am going to take her spot in committee.. Their will be a new sheriff in town :p and I will fight to the death about some of these expensive things they want fixed. They mean well by trying to fix problems, like old windows but not everyone is mega rich and can afford so many things at once :/
