A growing trend in fraudulent activities is for individuals/organizations to place ads on these websites for goods or services in exchange for crypto-currencies. An increasing number of victims do not receive these goods or services after submitting payment without the ability to recover their funds. Operators of these websites have proven to be less than cooperative in removing these fraudulent advertisements. Crypto-currency enthusiasts are often targeted in theft schemes in locations often frequented by this community.
Consumers are urged to use products and service providers in the geographical area of their respective nations having the lawful means to pursue legal action should a malicious transaction occur. The public is urged to report all fraudulent activities to your local law enforcement. All potential vendors should be vetted in accordance with established, proven, professional business standards.
