BitcoinQT client-start takes very, very long (about 40 minutes) and when i want to close the client there is that popup which says dont turn down the computer before this message disappears...but it wont...i have to shut down anyhow or close the message.

What can i do? Any ideas?
Only thing i changed is the datadir.
Someone mentioned to have a look at the debug.log but i cant find it in wich folder should it be?

Depending on your OS in https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory But if you changed it to something else, it might be there.

What can i do? Any ideas?

you use in server mode ?
my bfgminer don't allow to shutdown (properly) bitcoin core until it have finished works in queue.

that why your bitcoin core can't shutdown.

---NOTE : be careful !
DON'T shutdown properly a bitcoin core can (and it's already append to me) corrupt the wallet.dat !

My fault guys i found it - thoght its in those roamingfolders where i had no permission to access because i work with a userprofile - but i also found out you can look at the debug.log through the client itself with clicking on help...while doing that it got stuck and i had to kill the process. Now i have to wait again for 40 minutes to start it  Sad
(What do i have to look for in the debug.log?)

And no i dont use servermode or bfgminer.

Can it still (that forced programstop/task killing or just shutting down) corrupt the walletfile somehow? what should i do against that!?? And what can i do to make it more faster?

It your hard disk is badly fragmented it can cause the slownes. Increasing memory to pc could also help.

Maybe you still should check your hard disk for fragmentation: All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmenter -> Analyze Disk. If you need to defragment the disk you need to have at least 15 % free space left.
