I've recently started mining, so I picked up an Antminer S1 and Corsair CX500. I read the forum and followed the setup and it went smoothly first time. I added it to the router's DMZ so I could check it remotely. It ran solidly for about 8 hours with stable 51/48 temps and 3240 rpm fan speed.  Then it stopped hashing and I wasn't able to connect remotely. When I got back to where it was, I could still connect to it using the internal network IP. This suggested to me that it had lost its internet connection (though was still connected to the router).

I tried restarting the S1. Restarting the router. I spotted an NTP error in the system log, so disabled that. Still nothing. I did a hard reset of the S1 and reconfigured it from scratch. Still nothing.

I am at a loss for what to check next. My searches of the forum turn up errors which were all solved with what I have tried already. Any ideas for what to check next (or what screens should I post here to assist)? Many thanks.

I tried lots of things, but in the end, it looks like it was the IPV4 Gateway and Custom DNS Server needed to be the same as my Router's IP. As soon as I'd set those, mining resumed.

How it ever worked in the first place, I have no idea, as these were not settings I changed when first setting up the miner. Ghost in the machine?!?

Eventhough it's a antminer, it's still cheap produced Chinese shizzle Grin
