Hello,

To secure my android wallet, i use the backup system with password.
When i do a transaction, i load the backup ... enter the password and send transaction.

And then, immediatly, i erase all setting with the android application setting.
The problem is that i loose the hability to have the merkles tree already update for the next transaction (in 1 hour for example).

Can you add a button (in the security section), to erase the wallet information without delete the merkle tree downloads ?

this system prevent user to lost bitcoins when android phone is stolen.
(please email backup bitcoin wallet at regulary rate ... to have a safe way to buy a phone and restore the initial wallet backup file in download folder on sdcard0)

That sounds like an extremely advanced usecase.

We will add password-encrypted wallets. If your password is strong enough, it will prevent loss of coins when your phone is stolen.

the problem is that the bitcoin app is not protected by password when you open it ... only when you want restore wallet from a backup.
if phone is stollen, thief can easly transfer money in minute to an other bitcoin adress.

i agree that password complicate the noobs user ... but, with real money ... thing must be secure.
no ?

Awesome, this would make me feel so much better about using the app.
