Wow thats a nightmare. Imagine if you had millions in BTC that you were planning to put into a savings account in a bank account. Your life would be ruined. I myself am paranoid about wallet security, because when its gone, its gone forever. I usually use xapo.com, because first of all it takes 24 hours to process a withdrawal from your vault, so I could cancel it if it was unauthorized and change my password and everything. Second, the xapo.com vault is insured so if anything were to happen to it they would pay me back my bitcoin (Less than an annual percentage fee for insurance), and third, it keeps me from wasting money on gambling or little things like that
If it takes 24 hours to pay, might as well not do it at all. I do keep less than 0.1 in my hot wallet on blockchain.info, as that loss wouldn't hurt me THAT much, and I need some funds for quick access like for bipolarbobs deals
