Ok so i am watching Through The Wormhole - S05E04 - How To Collapse A Superpower
And they go on about cryptographic security and they mentioned.. some older algo's

One guy uses online for his Firewall program, who i have continually reversed and keygened on him an algo..
Mr coder uses a "Caeser Cipher" with a Hash-based Message Authentication Code (HMAC) using the SHA1 hash function.
hashing the c: partition id on windows with a caeser cipher then he uses a 2nd caeser to hash that with a bit of custom stuff easy to spot..
then he uses base64 to binary encode it to store the registration key in the registry.

I made keygen's with with c, c++ and c# with and with out GUI's (and i cracked / patched it too just to piss him off)
a "caeser cipher" is waste of time ..you might as well not even lock your door LOL

so.. the show talks about that then goes on about..
some crap about then NSA hacking Algo's.. then..

problem is the guy is on TV touting this as some revolution but it relies on a little index card like the size of a credit card with a pattern in it.
Which can be easily replicated with a 3d printer across the globe in minutes..
What this guy thinks he found is the first truly RANDOM algo.. there for far more secure than anything ever !

but a static pre-made thing in your hand showing holes is not random and can be mass produced !

there for they can be hacked !

with out being able too generate true random numbers we will not have any perfect security in crypto.
and i have actually been waiting for hackers to exploit Bitcoin.. one of these day i wonder if it's going to get blown wide open..
if it all relies on a wall to keep bad guys on then you have to have a perfect wall but no perfect wall exists or will EVER exist.
All we can do is stay ahead of hackers.. they can not be beat.

What the NSA is trying to do these days is what some guy did to WEP router back in like 2006 roughly..
i had heard way back then about a demo the FBI had put on in a Black Hat hackers conference in LA, California
where the FBI put on a power point presentation showing the public how to rape a WEP router.. with links to tools etc. (NOTE: WPA are exploited now too)
and if people look at how the WEP keys are attacked and exploited and you see how that worked ?
you should see how flimsy the security in crypto really is..

Cllarification:  Nonlinear dynamic formula do have solutions, but those solutions are non-computable.  So basically if you take say, any sliver of quartz, no matter how uniform you strive to make them there will be differences that affect their frequency.  Just a matter of decimal points.  Could use three random readings from one's environment for instance, run em though a Lorenz attractor for a while, done.

I mean this in all seriousness and with good intent, and don't mean to "cross the line." Idunno if you already know you are (or even know you aren't) or are maybe even diagnosed, but it seemed like something worth mentioning. I don't really want to argue with you about it (and I'm obviously not sure, but I worked in social services for/with schizoaffectives, manic-depressives, etc for a few years and've picked up on the subtlety of symptoms), and I have no beef at all with you or what you say since I only rarely venture out into altcoin space, so maybe just consider it something to throw in the back of your mind if someone else ever says something similar with good intent. Fwiw, I don't have the knowledge or resources to really help you out if you should not fully disagree with my estimate and even want help, but a good GP will be able to give you the resources you need to improve your mood and quality of life (if you should be dissatisfied with your current moods and ways of thinking) instead of just a bottle of pills to turn your brain to mush. -Ben
