Just seen on CBS that theres a apple news conference today where they will release new device info, as well as "a new way to pay"?

I don't follow apple much so i was just wondering if there were any rumors if it was bitcoin related?

Adding bitcoin to apple won't change the fact that their products are overpriced ...

God I hope its not bitcoins, Unless Apple decides the only way to buy their new product is by using bitcoins we will have the bi-weekly "Dell Dump" all over again. This will push the value of BTC down in the 200 area by the end of the year if nothing else happens to push it back up.

The news is that Apple is currently gutting BTC like a fish and carelessly tossing the entrails into the open ocean where they will be consumed by whatever happens to be swimming by.

The conference is streaming live now on iDevices. Just for the fun of it, I tried spoofing my user agent to Safari but no go.
Then I got hold of a streaming URL and tried it in VLC and that worked. The stream was terrible and only watched a couple of minutes.

It would have been good if apple were to allow people to use bitcoin to buy their products. More merchants accepting bitcoin will essentially lead to more consumers adapting bitcoin which is good for the long term value of bitcoin. Granted it may cause the short term price to decline somewhat, but this is okay.
